In 1994 I was diagnosed with celiac disease, which led me to create Celiac.com in 1995. I created this site for a single purpose: To help as many people as possible with celiac disease get diagnosed and living happy, healthy gluten-free lives. Celiac.com was the first site on the Internet dedicated solely to celiac disease, and since then it has become an invaluable resource to people worldwide who seek information about celiac disease and the gluten-free diet.
In 1998 I created The Gluten-Free Mall, Your Special Diet Superstore! which was also another Internet first—it was the first gluten-free food site to offer a shopping cart-style interface, and the ability for people to order gluten-free products manufactured by many different companies at a single Web site.

At Health Food Emporium, we specialize in natural, organic, whole food and gluten free vitamins and personal care products. We found that isolated vitamins and minerals can do as much harm as they can good. So we specialize in only the best lines of whole food vitamins. And guess what? On our websites, we have clearly marked certified Gluten Free products. We care about quality, and we will not carry any products that we would not use ourselves. Garden of Life and New Chapter Organics vitamins and supplements are the best two lines on the market. Both manufacturers are very careful about the gluten free declarations on their labels. As a matter of fact, New Chapter Organics Vitamins and Supplements are now ALL Gluten Free!
We also carry gluten free cosmetic and personal care products. Aubrey Organics are internationally certified organic cosmetics and hair, skin and body care products. Aubrey products are also Vegan, and Cruelty Free! We also carry gluten free toothpaste by Miessence that we especially like for its fresh minty flavor!
