Gryphon Myers recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, research emphasis in art, society and technology. He is a lifelong vegetarian, an organic, local and GMO-free food enthusiast and a high fructose corn syrup abstainer. He currently lives in Northern California.
Our story began several years ago when three people in my family, including myself, were diagnosed with Celiac Disease and multiple food intolerances. After having our world turned upside down, the one thing I was sure I didn’t want was for my children to feel deprived.

After having our world turned upside down, the one thing I was sure I didn’t want was for my children to feel deprived. Never being one to back down from a challenge, I got creative in the kitchen. Second Helping started with my recipe for gluten-free mini corn dogs with a healthy twist—Corn Puppies—inspired by my daughter Rachel.
Now we’ve brought on a culinary wizard, Chef Amy Fothergill, to bring new delectable dishes to your table. When Chef Amy says she has a new product ready for me to taste, I always ask, “Is it awesome?” Because at Second Helping we’re all about awesome.
At Second Helping we’re dedicated to making delectable gluten-free fare the whole family will love. All of our dishes are made in a dedicated gluten-free facility and have earned the certified gluten-free seal. Besides being gluten-free, our products are dairy/casein-free, soy-free, and nut-free. They’re also good for you. We never use artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or nitrates/nitrites. Ever.
