Three Bakers Gluten Free Chocolate Chip and Honey Graham Snackers

Reviewed and edited by a celiac disease expert.
Three Bakers Gluten Free Chocolate Chip and Honey Graham Snackers -

Today I had the pleasure of trying out two new products from Three Bakers Gluten Free: Chocolate Chip Snackers and Honey Graham Snackers, and I'm very impressed by both.

Just as the "Snackers" name implies, these new products make a perfect snack. The texture of Snackers is a bit like a cracker, bit their taste is more like a cookie. I really like the fact that the first ingredient is whole grain brown rice flour, which has more fiber and nutritional value than plain rice flour.

The Honey Graham Snackers had an identical flavor to regular wheat graham crackers that I've missed so much. You can really tasted the honey graham flavor.

The Chocolate Chip Snackers tasted remarkably like a great chocolate chip cookie, but again, these have the consistency of crackers, so you never get the feeling that they are too sweet or unhealthy.

Overall I highly recommend these new treats to anyone, regardless of whether or not they avoid gluten, as they will be enjoyed by all. I will also be including them as a treat in my daughter's school lunches because she absolutely loves them!

Celiac.com 03/08/2011 - I was so happy to discover Shabtai Gourmet's gluten-free Swiss chocolate roll. The first thing noticed was how easy it was to slice and how beautifully each slice looked. The smell of rich chocolate was overwhelming in the most wonderful of ways.  After the first bite, I knew we were going to reorder again and soon!  The chocolate sponge cake was moist and the crème filling gave the perfect compliment to the rich dark chocolate coating.  It was such a delicious treat for my entire family and not to mention that it is also certified kosher for passover as well.

I recently tried Jovial Foods' Gluten-Free Organic Brown Rice Penne Rigate Pasta and was looking forward making my Grandmother's baked ziti dish using this penne rigate pasta.  Since I am super sensitive to gluten, I love the fact that Jovial Foods make their pasta in a dedicated gluten free facility and that it is also certified gluten-free.
I cooked the pasta just a few minutes under the required time on the packaging, since it would also be baked after.  When I sampled the pasta by itself, I was very pleased by the taste and texture.  After my tasting of Jovial Foods gluten free pasta, I had high hopes that my Grandmother's dish would finally turn out—not only for those that are gluten free in my family— but one that I can serve to those that are not on a gluten-free diet.

Who said gluten-free frozen foods never taste good and fresh? When I had my first bite of Amy's Broccoli and Cheddar Bake I could not believe that it was a frozen product. The tender rice pasta was coated with a creamy, aged English cheddar sauce, and the green organic broccoli tasted very fresh and crisp, and it was a very healthy addition. This product is not only gluten-free, but is also high in protein, vitamin A, C, calcium, and good source of iron, so it's very nutritious.
Open Original Shared LinkThis bowl is simply a convenient food for me, as I am a working mom, and it allows for a quick meal when I have no time to cook. I would defiantly feel good serving it to my whole family at any meal time. It is very easy to prepare—I simply just remove the over-wrap and put the b...

For my first gluten-free baking experience, I made vanilla cupcakes with orange-flavored frosting using Gluvana Complete Gluten-Free All Purpose Mix. I also made a batch of gluten-containing cupcakes using the same recipe to allow for comparison. I didn't do blind taste testing or anything like that, but I can honestly say that the cupcakes made with Gluvana's flour were better.
Open Original Shared LinkThe gluten-free cupcakes had a pleasant consistency and a hint of a cornbread-like flavor that complimented the orange frosting well. The wheat flour cupcakes seemed dense and flavorless in comparison. I'm going to try subbing Gluvana into some other recipes to test its other applications, but thus far I am very impressed!
