Dr. Stephen Wangen is a state licensed and board certified physician. He received his doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine from the internationally renowned Bastyr University. He practices in Seattle, Washington, and specializes in digestive disorders and food allergies. In 2005 he founded the Irritable Bowel Syndrome Treatment Center (www.IBSTreatmentCenter.com) to better serve the needs of those with IBS and chronic digestive problems, where he serves as the Medical Director. In addition to the IBS Treatment Center he has also founded the Center for Food Allergies (www.CenterforFoodAllergies.com). He is the author of the book, "The Irritable Bowel Syndrome Solution: How It's Cured at the IBS Treatment Center" and has a new book coming out in the summer of 2008 titled "Healthier Without Wheat: A New Understanding of Wheat Allergies, Celiac Disease, and Non-Celiac Gluten Intolerance." His extensive research into the relationship between food allergies and health has led to groundbreaking work on many conditions. He continues to investigate these issues as the Research Director of the Innate Health Foundation (www.InnateHealthFoundation.org), a nonprofit agency dedicated to the advancement of health and health care. His enthusiasm for health care is the result of a lifelong interest in human potential.
