Yes, I'm a celiac too. Hopefully I can share something here that will help someone or make another person in the celiac world smile a little. How did I find out? One night I had pasta and a beer and whoa!!! I hadn't been feeling well for sometime anyway, but that night I thought I was going to explode and how! When I finally went in to see my doctor I told him about that night and he said there was a disease out there that prohibited people from eating wheat. Wow! I thought, not me. Sure enough, after the blood tests came back and my internist said I did have celiac disease, it all kind of started to make sense...the bloating and uncomfortable feeling after eating, the chronic constipation that I thought was just old age, the stomach aches that I couldn't explain...not to mention the exhaustion I was feeling. Even though I'm a teacher and always tired, I thought it was simply that. I'm glad I found out what was wrong and now that I've been gluten free for about 2-3 months now I can say that I'm feeling noticeably better. It's not as hard as it looks or sounds even when everyone around me is eating brownies, cookies, or chocolate cake and I can't. You can do it too if you must and you'll be healthier for it. Good Luck!
