Five years ago, diagnosed with celiac disease and lactose intolerance, I was shocked and discouraged, walking through the grocery store, trying to decipher labels and feeling, “I will never eat ANYTHING GOOD again.”
I’d like to share how I conquered this disease. Feeling great now, I ran and completed the Chicago Marathon for my 60th birthday. I have many tips to share and hope to encourage those recently diagnosed folks who feel as if their world has fallen apart. I hope I can help you glue it back together again. We can even share a few laughs about our common experiences…and a few tears.
