I am 21 years old and I live in Lakewood, Colorado. I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 16. It took many tests and 16 years to figure out what I was allergic to. My body was covered with eczema and I had horrible health. I even had to have my appendix removed at the age of nine. Doctors told me that I would never see the skin underneath the eczema. Now, 5 years later, my skin is completely cleared up and I am in much better health. I will be attending pharmacy school in the fall. Eventually I want to open a gluten free bakery, as I currently make many gluten free foods at home.
