I changed it to 1/2 cup honey in the batter, 1/2 cup maple syrup poured over the apples, no pecans, and the results were unbelievable.<br/><br/>

What did you substitute the honey and maple syrup for?  I am guessing the brown sugar and regular sugar. Thanks for your help.<br/><br/>

My husband loved it and I tried very hard not to eat more than my share.  Very good for celiac and non alike.  You would never know it was gluten free!<br/><br/>
