Event details

The Seventh Year of Camp Celiac!

At 138-acre Camp Arroyo in the foothills of Livermore, CA, Camp Celiac campers, counselors, and junior counselors eat delicious gluten-free food and enjoy traditional camp activities such as a ropes course, rock climbing, zip-lining, boating, swimming, archery, arts and crafts, skit night, and outdoor sports. Three meals a day without having to ask if any of the foods are gluten-free is life changing for many campers and staff!

Session 1 July 23-27 Tuesday-Saturday (staff arrives Monday, July 22)

Vendor Fair for both sessions to attend: Saturday, July 27th

Session 2 July 27-31 Saturday-Wednesday

Who Attends?

Camp Celiac is for children ages 9-16 years. Campers ages 16-17 entering 10th grade or lower may choose to register as a junior counselor or camper. Campers age 16-17 who are entering 11th grade or higher must register as a junior counselor.

Registration

Registration for this summer's camp begins February 1! All campers from Northern California who register between February 1st and February 14th will be given equal priority if all four registration steps are completed by February 14 (and received if paying by mail); i.e. there is no advantage to registering on February 1st rather than February 14th. After February 14th, available space will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis after all four registration steps are completed (and received if paying by mail). Please see the www.celiaccamp.com for further details and registration information.

Adult Volunteers Needed

Camp Celiac would not be possible without our wonderful adult volunteer counselors (ages 18 or older by the date of Camp). If you (or someone you know) would like to make camp a reality for our kids and enjoy a week of delicious gluten-free cooking in a beautiful setting, please consider volunteering. As we are limited in the number of kids we can serve based on the number of volunteers we recruit, please register as soon as possible. In particular, we are always in need of male counselors for the boys' groups.

The Taylor Family Foundation

The Celiac Community Foundation of Northern California administers Camp Celiac at Camp Arroyo in Livermore, CA, thanks to the generosity of our partner, The Taylor Family Foundation. Learn more about the heartwarming, amazing work of this extraordinary foundation on its website.

Donations Welcome

While we charge campers only $25 to attend, we rely on community donations to pay for much of our camp programming including archery, arts and crafts, medical supplies, a dance with a DJ, sports equipment, board games, inflatable obstacle course, etc. Whether or not you have a child attending, please consider making a tax deductible donation to support Camp Celiac at Camp Arroyo.

Very special thanks to the Corley family -- Jacqueline, Doug, Nathaniel and Morgan -- for organizing the camp, creating the website and volunteering every year.
