"who's Wedding Is It Anyway / The Knot"

I was watching "Who's Wedding is it…surprise wedding" and was very surprised and disappointed at the adice given from Carley, from The Knot. Her thoughts were you would be a “bad guest” if you requested a Gluten Free meal. She recommended to just order "fish or chicken and RSVP." I feel I have to share this, and I understand that "just ordering chicken or fish" is not always an option. There are spices and cross-contamination that needs to be considered. I agree that it is hard to accommodate all of your guests when getting married. But, the advice could have been to can contact the venue itself...and there are usually no problems or extra cost. Don't let yourself not attend a special event due to our diet. I know from experience.
