      • Airborne Gluten...
        By julissa · Posted
I have been reading through all these super sensitive posts, and I definitely live this life also. I am wondering if anyone has found any way to help them have less reaction when they are out and about.  Has anything helped at all? I was looking into seeing a Naturopathic Doctor, but don't want to go down that possibly expensive road without opinions of whether it could help. I am thinking digestive support, I really don't know. I am at my wits end here.  100% gluten, dairy and soy free for almost 3 years. I saw an allergist and am confirmed allergic to dairy and soy, and reacted to the wheat as well in the testing.  it would be so much easier to navigate life if all I had to do was not eat this stuff, but reacting to it on the outside has brought a new level of difficulty to my life.  for example, I was babysitting 2 weeks ago at my daughter's house, something i do all the time.. I got glutened. the effects lasted almost 2 weeks. couldn't for the life of me figure it out, as I am careful and my grandkids have been brought up with me and my way of life. found out later on my daughter had been baking that afternoon.  help!
      • Finally went to the DR.

just had the ultrasound done, took about 10mins. A few photos on each side and laying ddown. My doctor should have the results tomorrow. My pain and symptoms seem to be getting better. Maybe I'm just one step closer to being officially diagnosed as Celiac.  I doubt the ultrasound had anything abnormal.

Hi Cyclinglady, good idea. I will definitely look into it but I do not think it will be possible since I have never heard of compounding pharmacies here. I have to figure out something. I will definitely ask. I really need some good news. I just feel it is one thing after another and of course I need to keep fighting and figure this out. Even this doctor today told me I should not be using forum and internet in general to try to figure things out. Thanks to this forum, I figured out about so many things that no doctor has mentioned to me.  None of us imagined having to deal with celiac and other issues. I am really tired of dealing with all of this. While my friends are planning their weddings and having kids, I am hoping not to be diagnosed with other AIs. I am genuinely happy for them and take time to pick perfect presents for them but later I wonder if I will ever get to experience any of this. This has been on my mind even more after this appointment today and the only thing that I can even focus on (if I have energy and feel somewhat ok) is trying to figure out what can help me feel better. I really think that only people on this forum understand what I am going through.
      • Steak And Shake?
        By Woody · Posted
At our local Steak and Shakes the fries our cooked in the same oil as the bread products. Some of the cooks do not use separate spatulas when flipping burgers and buns. If you go sat at the counter than decide if the risk is safe.
      • Pure Oats causing Neurological Problems?
        By squirmingitch · Posted
You're welcome. I don't think we will ever see an oat free designation. I don't know what ranking oats have on the allergen list but i don't imagine they're very high up there.
