When a recipe calls for pumpkin pie spice, is there any special brand I should look for?. I usually just use cinnamin and nutmeg, but I'm not sure if they are gluten-free either.
Thanks for any help

I use all McCormick products with no problem, including the pumpkin pie spice.

I use McCormick, also, and have verified by phone that it is gluten free.

There is no broad answer that covers all companies. If it's a mix, or a powdered spice, you probably ought to call the company and ask. I've not heard of a company that's said they use wheat to prevent clumping in their *plain* spices and spice mixes (this is different from seasoning mixes, like "taco seasoning", in a packet, however), but "rumor has it", so you may want to call. McCormick, Spice Hunter, and Trader Joe's spices are all fine.
