I am looking for gluten-free shampoo and conditioner that is not tested on animals. Does anyone know of any?

Hi--

I really like Shikai Everyday Shampoo and Conditioner.

These are gluten-free, plant based, no animal ingredients and no animal testing.

I won't use products anymore that are tested on animals :)

On another note, do you use gluten-free non-animal tested make-up, Patti?

I tend to use either shikai or one of trader joe's botanical ones.

I use Shi Kai...and for skin care I use MyChelle. (they don't do makeup however; but all their skincare products are gluten-free) Smashbox makes all gluten-free makeup, but it is only available in department stores (I live 90 miles from nearest source)...use it anyhow, though. Actually, I don't know if they do animal experiements or not...I don't think so...but I'll have to doublecheck. Check out My Chelle, though.

Alba Botanicals is not animal tested. You have to check the ingredients for gluten. I haven't got sick from their products. John Paul Mitchell is not animal tested, but some of his stuff has gluten in it. Kiss My Face has a list of their gluten-containing products and they are animal friendly.

Yes--I use Bare Escentuals, which is not tested on animals. I've used this line since long before I was diagnosed with Celiac.

No, I hadn't seen that site :)

I buy mine at either Whole Foods or Wegmans.

Not all of their products are gluten-free. If I remember correctly, the bath gels are not, and possibly some others. When I called the company, I was told that the hair products were all gluten-free.

Ck out leaping bunny: http://www.leapingbunny.org/ This org investigates products and marks them with their logo if animals are not harmed, tested in production etc. There are some lists on this site of safe products. I use Aubrey Organics for shampoo, it has the leaping bunny...
