  3. Sensitivity Around The Intestine Area..?

I get that too. Really tender and hypersensitive in that range. But I don't know if it's because I just ate gluten a month ago and I'm still in pain from it. KLS
  4. Ggrrr New Dr

Betty, you and I are living similar lives. I also went to a new gastro on Wednesday and she's like, "I don't think you have Celiac." And I told her how I feel after I eat something with gluten in it and she was still skeptical, so I just got aggravated and said, "Fine. Believe what you want to believe. I know the truth and I know my body." She wanted me to eat gluten for 3-4 weeks just so I could be tested the day of the endoscopy, but I didn't want to. And I told her that people with Multiple Sclerosis are supposed to be on a gluten free diet anyway, so that's what made her stop questioning me. So I know how you feel. It's very frustrating. Especially since my blood test was positive. KLS

  7. Gluten And Hair Products

I am *SO* lucky. I called up Garnier Fructis and they said that all the products that I use by them *ARE* in fact GLUTEN - FREE!!! Yay!!!!!!! I'm so glad I checked. I love their products. (Doing the Happy Hair dance) KLS
  8. Gluten And Hair Products

Oh whew, hope you're right. Yeah. I will definitely call on Monday to double check. I use a couple of products of Garnier to straighten my hair - they are - Smoothing Milk and Sleek and Shine - it's more to get rid of frizz though. Then I use a flat iron to straighten it more. KLS
  9. Gluten And Hair Products

OMG, Garnier Fructis isn't? I don't know what I am going to do now. I have a whole lot of it and it really straightens my hair. I do have Nature's Gate at least. I know that's 100% pure. KLS
  10. Gluten And Hair Products

Is Garnier Fructis gluten free? Love them to death. KLS
  11. How Long Can The Pain Last?

They could have been. That's the only thing that's coming up for me, that the juices that they were in had gluten in it. I didn't think of the vinegar part of it though. That's interesting. Yeah it is. It's very severe. I can't believe how long this is lasting. I'm scheduled for a barrium swallow tomorrow to check things out more. Thank you very much. KLS
  12. Have Trouble With So Many Foods

I'm sorry you're so restricted. I know it sucks, cause I can relate to you on the restricted part. I can ONLY eat soluable foods. Right now because of my stomach, I'm only on liquids and baby food. When I'm not having a hard time, I can add in other soluable foods, but it's not a big list. And not being able to eat gluten on top of every thing, I'm very restricted. Just gotta adapt the best you can. KLS
  13. How Long Can The Pain Last?

Oh wow, really? LOL gees. That scares me that doctor's don't know crap sometimes. Well, I listed everything and he commented on every thing, so after I said, "Heart of Palm" he said, "That's about as fatty as you can get." Thanks, Carla. KLS
  14. How Long Can The Pain Last?

Thank you *all* so much for replying to me. Hopefully it will only be the 2 weeks. I ended up going to the E.R. last night because I was getting pains in my chest when I bent over and I could hardly even sit down! My blood levels were off, and they thought it might be my gallbladder or pancreas, but the CT said it looked OK. It's possible I could have had a gallbladder attack, because I had at the cookout - Peas, Olive Oil, Feta Cheese and Heart of Palm - and the ER doc said, "That's about as fatty as you can get. Especially the Heart of Palm." So, it was either that or left over celiac pains/gas. OMG, the gas is WICKED! Or it's a hiatal hernia. But, he wasn't able to do an endoscopy last night, so I have to get that done on my own. I'm feeling a bit better than yesterday, so hopefully I'll keep on the mend. Thank you again for replying. It means a lot. KLS
  15. Hi All, I've had Celiac Sprue for over 2 years. I got it after brain surgery. So believe it or not, still kind of new to this disease. On Saturday I went to a vegetarian/vegan cookout, so I thought I was pretty safe and asked what was in a dish and there was nothing that had gluten in it, but all she had to do was forget one ingredient, and we're screwed, right? So, anyway, since Saturday, I've had the cramps/pains, but not only in my stomach, but if I bend over a little bit while I'm sitting up, I get the pains in my chest and then radiating to my back. The pains are subsiding a little, but not enough. I still have to be careful when I bend and I still have the pains/cramps in my sides. I was just wondering, how long can these pains last? Thanks in advance for your reply. KLS
