  1. I am looking for a heat protecting hair product that doesn't have gluten. I have tried Dove Heat Defense Spray, since I know Dove products are normally gluten-free, but it doesn't seem to do a good job of protecting my hair- and I frequently flat iron my hair. Does anyone have suggestions?

  4. Hi, I'm Mia. I'm a little older than the rest of you... (Junior in college at Colorado State), but I live in Fort Collins. I've been celiac for about two and a half years now.
  5. I've just started training again for the upcoming cycling season and although I've been racing for 2 years, this is the first season of racing that I've had to do gluten-free. So far it's been very frustrating because I notice that I bonk 20 minutes into every ride I start, and am wondering if anyone has tried to make their own energy bars? Because I really can't get myself to eat the fruit/nut bars and gels generally don't keep me going for very long. Any suggestions? -mia
  6. I recently went to Singapore to visit family and was a little worried about finding food. Luckily, one of my friends noticed that a bakery/restaurant called Cedele has some gluten-free options on its menu! I only went there once (seeing as it was my last day there), but I felt fine and the food was pretty good. They also have a lot of locations throughout Singapore (including the airport).   8. Actually I'm newly diagnosed and just started college this year too. It was pretty overwhelming for me as well, not only trying to manage the new diet, but new stresses associated with college too. I was lucky that my roommate was my best friend, so she was really understanding. I ended up transferring at semester so I can live at home, since the dining hall was not helpful in providing anything I could eat (I lived off of salad and lunchmeat most of first semester). But I would suggest talking to dining services and if they can't do anything to change, maybe lower your meal plan? that was an option that was given to me. I would also request the menu in advance, then maybe you can plan ahead and see what days you could try to eat there. And if you have a fridge/microwave in your room, just stock up on food you can eat. I also had a mini rice cooker in my room and I would heat up frozen vegetables if I didn't have any other options that day. Hope that helps! Good luck, Mia
