  1. Happy birthday!

  2. Hey everyone. I just moved to Center City, Phily this past weekend and I have no idea where anything is. I was wondering if anyone from around here knows where any gluten-free friendly restaraunts/stores are? Thanks!
  3. House

i thought house was on on Tuesday nites?? What channel and what time will this be airing?
  4. everything but the crunchies and i think one other topping. here's the site but if you have a carvel store near you, you can request them to make it without the crunchy things! goodluck!
  5. is there any way you could get the recipe for the graham crackers for me?
  6. Does anyone have any suggestions for gluten-free graham cracker crumbs? because for christmas my family always makes these reese balls....peanut butter and graham cracker crumbs rolled together and then dipped in chocolate. these are my absolute favorites and i don't know what i'm gonna do come christmas if i can't have these?! thanks....
  7. I would think that as long as the turkey you buy isn't preseasoned you should be fine, but i'm not sure...sorry!
  8. So Discouraged

Is there any way you could take a vacation from work just for a week or so? That would give you some time to recoup and maybe do some research on labels and finding foods you like. Maybe when you make dinners try to make extra so that way you can just take that for lunches and you don't have to use Sundays to make all of your lunches. good luck!
  9. apples with peanut butter and fajitas on corn tortillas...normally i get it without any seasoning and it's still ohhh so good!
  10. I made a stew soup yesterday and it is absolutely delicious! i don't know the exact amount of things, but you pretty much add everything together in a big pot or in a crockpot and let everything simmer for a few hours. taste as you go as to what seasonings you want. stew steak browned in a skillet first (i did almost 2 lbs) a bag of frozen soup vegetables(i did 2 bags...i like my vegies) cabbage chopped up(i did about a cup) potatos chopped up(i did like 4 small potatos) tomato paste(the smaller can, i did the whole can) Knorr Vegetable Recipe dry mix (i checked online and it is gluten-free) i did mine on the stovetop, i also added some oregano, garlic, a little bit of salt, and pepper. i let it simmer for like 4hours tasting and stirring every so often. it made a whole pot of stew so i froze half of it since its only me and my boyfriend. (if freezes well too by the way). and i absolutely love good and very easy!
  11. i remember seeing it on here, but i couldn't find it when i searched for it. does anyone have a good stuffing recipe? it doesn't have to be the cornbread one. i'd like to try it out before thanksgiving that way my family doesn't think all of my glutenfree food is different/not good. thanks!
  12. there are a few ify ingredients i think - mono-and diglycerides, dextrin, modified food starch, coloring, and flavoring. it is made in the US and i think that means that the modified food starch is corn, but i'm not sure. i went to their website and the only way they have of contacting them is by snail mail and i was sort of hoping for a quicker response. thanks!
  13. Anyone Else Asymtopatic?

i thought i was asymtomatic too. since going on the gluten-free diet i have found that i did have symptoms. i used to get headaches and bloating at least once a week before going gluten-free...i didn't even notice that i hadn't been getting them until i accidentally ate something with gluten in it and they came back within an hour. i also could not concentrate, it was like i was in a fog after i ate the gluten. i have also learned that my other disorders (signature) were most likely caused by celiacs, but everything was masked by the immuno suppressants i took for about ten years. once i was off the meds, i got a really bad reflux attack, which i'd never had any type of reflux every in my life before, they did some tests and now i've got celiacs. my family is pretty supportive. the only thing that gets me is my food (gluten-free) is not considered good enough to them some times and it sorta ticks me off. like i wanted to make stuffing for thanksgiving for everyone (w/cornbread i think), but instead i get to make my own one on the side. and like i was talking to my mom about wedding cakes and apparantly she feels i should have two for me and one for everyone else! that really ticked me off, but sorry i'm rambling and this is a whole nother topic sorta. the diet isn't that bad other than the cost of some things and trying to find substitues for some things. everyone here can help with that though so feel free to ask questions good luck!
