  1. Does anyone know if the rice pilaf served ant Flame and Skewer is gluten free. My husband and I would like to celebrate our anniversary there if the rice is safe.

  3. Connie, I would like to make the yellow cake, but I was wondering if the oven temperature needs to be lowered and if the baking time need to be increased when using your rice mix flour. Thanks for your help! Carmen
  4. Connie, I know that this is an old subject, but I wanted to ask if when you bake with your mix do you lower the oven temperature and lengthen the baking time? If so on both, how much? I haven't really done a lot of baking since being gluten-free, so I need all the good information I can find. Thank you! Carmen
  5. I'm so sorry I missed your email on Sunday! We were camping with the cub scouts and got back late. We were so tired when we got home. I didn't have time to check my email because of the unpacking we had to do and getting ready for work and school on monday.   7. If you like a red chilie sauce Las palmas is gluten-free. My mother cooked with it, I cook with it, I guess I grew up with it. All my relative love it, especially when I use the medium hot! I live in CA so I hope you can find it in your town. chuot

  10. I know that when I was severely anemic, I would have dizzy spells. You may need some added iron in your diet, your best bet is to talk to your doctor. Carmen
  11. stargirl & momof3 I am so excited to see other posts from Bakersfield! I also have been looking for a support group here in Bakersfield. I was finally diagnosed by Dr. Gupta 2 years ago.   12. I have put weight on also, but after going gluten-free I find I'm hungry all the time! I don't remember ever feeling this way before. The hunger pains are too hard to ignore, so I eat more often. I try to eat healthy, but I think I may need to exercise more often. I thought that I was the only one who put the pounds on after going gluten-free. I have read about so many people who were losing weight. I'm just not feeling motivated to lose yet. The doctor actually said I shouldn't begin to diet yet, he said I was on my way to getting healthy. chuot
