  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thanks for the input. My cheating usually consists of contaminated foods not straight flour. Like rice krispies or soy sause if I just have a little. It still makes me sick, but I can function if I don't do it too often.
  3. I believe I have celiac disease. My Aunt has tested positive. And my father negative but I don't think they were right about him. I had a doctor tell me I could go on the diet and I would know within a week if I had it. And I strongly believe I do. I have been eating mostly gluten free for a year now. I say mostly because I cheat just enough to not get severe symptoms. I know I shouldn't and I CAN tell it affects me but without an official diagnosis I make excuses and push it as far as I can. So here is the dilemma. Unexplained infertility and miscarriages run in my family. In fact for 4 generations not one female born to my father
  4. Infertility And Celiac Desease

Thank you Laura, that was very helpfull. I have been the first person diagnosed with celiac in my family however I believe that many or all of my fathers side has it. I will be so grateful if this means I will be the first of them to have children.
  5. Infertility And Celiac Desease

On the topic of Infertility I am wondering how many other people have had problems with it and Celiac. I am 27 just got diagnosed and have not yet tried to have kids. However it has been a concern because on one side of my family not one of the females has had any children for four generations. And possibly longer. Some have been pregnant here and there but all ended in miscarrage. I only recently found out I have celiac although I have had stomach problems my whole life. I am getting married soon and I am hopeing that the diet will solve the unexplaned infertility and miscarrages as we desperatly wish to have children of our own. So basically I am wondering if anyone out there has had or heard of similar problems and has any information on the subject. Its seems contraversal in searches wheather or not it it is even supposed to be related.
  6. Has anyone lost weight by being on the gluten free diet alone or is it neccessary to cut carbs other places as well. I was just diagnosed and I am just learning the diet. I feel smaller but I assume that is due to the lack of bloating. Im not overweight really but I have a wedding comming up in a few months and I suppose I am hoping the lack of sweets and things will make a little difference. I would love to lose 10 pounds. Anyone think thats possible?
  7. I am in the states and KIX says exactly what she wrote. whole grain oats but nothing about wheat. Maybe It's changed since last time you looked? . . . I am new to the diet and overlooked oats being contaminated so I have it in front of me.
