What Home Testing Options Do I Have?
I basically want to test for eggs, soy, wheat, and dairy, but cannot afford to spend too much money. What options do I have? And delivered in the United States.

I hope someone can help, and I would appreciate it a lot Thank you!

And also links and prices of course, if possible. Any guidance will be so appreciated!

Where Do I Get Food Sensitivity Testing Done?
I suspect that I am sensitive to gluten. One reason why I know is due to constipation and bloating. I cannot tolerate it, every time I eat wheat, I get extremely constipated. When I stop, it goes back to normal. Another reason is my skin, I flare up badly when I eat wheat, and it goes down a week later. But right now it's just a "suspicion" but I do not know where to go to get tested. I also want to get tested for all foods, but at the same time am scared that I will be paying more than I should.

So that is why I ask here where exactly do I need to go to get tested. Is there a specific doctor who can do it? Naturopath? Or is it just a regular doctor? I am not sure but really need to know.

I reside in Houston, so if there are any here that you know of please do let me know, I am dying to find out and thought this was the best place to ask.

      Thank you so much!

I wonder how long am I to wait to know if it will totally go away because of gluten? Will it almost be instant, or will it take weeks, or months?

I signed up here just because of this issue. Two weeks ago I stopped eating gluten, my acne was getting less and less and I attrtibuted it to the digestive enzymes I was taking and then added wheat and all the gluten products back in. The next two weeks got worse and worse till I almost reached in between mild to moderate acne. I had literally 30 zits on my forehead and it was too much of a coincidence. I stopped taking gluten products and slowly it's going down again.

I am going to see what happens over the next few days, because I really feel this is causing it!

Thank you Julie, and Psawyer, the clarification makes sense. Coming across "corn gluten" I was also confused as well. People who have allergies to the gluten in corn, how would they tend to show symptoms?

Thank you Carla! That is such a relief. I must have misread the statement. Maintaining a gluten-free lifestyle is very hard. I make a pinto bean dip that I wanted to incorporate some corn chips with. This is what it contains
"Ingredients: Whole corn, corn oil, and salt. No preservatives"

So I assuming I am okay on this

      Is Corn Safe?
Hello there, sorry I am new here, but I have seen conflicting views on corn and just do not know what to believe in for sure.

"Though corn (maize) is one of those grains that many people -- not just celiacs -- may be allergic to, it is not a grain that is thought to cause damage to the villi in celiacs. It is tolerated by most celiacs."

If this is bad for you, how can it be safe?

I tried searching to find the answer, but was not completely conclusive. I hope you all may help Thank you for your time, I really appreciate this so much!
