  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I had a negative for my blood tests as well. Well, not a negative; just not a positive. I stopped eating gluten and felt a TON better. My doctor told me, "If it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck.... it's a duck" If you feel better on a gluten free diet, I think you have your answer, regardless of the diagnosis.
  3. Hi Everybody! Does Dave and Busters's have any Gluten Free food? Or has anyone eaten there? Thanks for the help!
  4. As I sit here munching on my Peanut butter and chocolate rice cake I can tell you that they are very safe to eat! I have been eating Quaker rice cakes since I was diagnosed and have never had a problem with them. I eat the lightly salted, white cheddar, chocolate chip and peanut butter and chocolate and all are good! I also get HORRIBLE symptoms very quickly after being glutened.
  5. What about: "Whatever it is I think I see... becomes a Tootsie Roll to me!"
  6. I realize this is an old post but it was never answered so I thought I would answer it. Gluten Free in TC: Outback Steakhouse - Gluten Free Menu Red Mesa Grill - Gluten Free Menu La Senorita - I know the Chicken Wings are gluten free but the free chips are not. Applebees - Chicken Caesar Salad minus bread sticks and croutons is gluten free. Auntie Pasta's - No gluten free menu but they do understand our condition. Burger King - not fancy but always gluten free! Oryana Cafe - Serves sandwiches/wraps on gluten free bread/wraps La Cuisine Amical - Gluten Free Menu Jack's Market - Gluten Free Beer (not a restaurant) Tuscan Bistro - Gluten Friendly Home Grown Organic Eatery - Gluten Free Pizza! 310 Restaurant and Lounge - Gluten Free Menu
  7. I know what you mean! I am very well known for eating things I see without even thinking about it. It happened when I was first diagnosed and now that I've been gluten free for over 5 years, I slip up thinking everything is gluten free. I'm really bad about asking for no croutons on salads. All the salads I eat never have croutons on them so I just forget that other people's do. It's a good thing I have my husband to watch out for things like that! Feel better!
  8. I had my biopsy two weeks after diagnosis. In that two weeks I went gluten free and was feeling WONDERFUL. My biopsy came back practically negative but my doctor could still tell I had celiac disease. I say if she does well on a gluten free diet, you have your answer. As my doctor says, "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck..... it's a duck." Good luck with your decision!
  9. I was just in Orlando for a trade show and ate at Margaritaville at Universal Studios City Walk. They have a gluten free menu and were very knowledgeable about our condition. I highly recommend them! One night we went to UNO's who also has a gluten free menu. I also ate at Salt Island (they were not helpful AT ALL) and had a house salad without any dressing. Totally not worth the stop. For lunches I ate at Burger King and never got glutened the entire trip. Good Luck and enjoy the warm weather!
