Man, if I'd have tried to eat sprouted seeds back when I was recovering I would've been stuck to the toliet like that woman in the news
If you'd like to avoid the soy in Ensure (although I've never had any problems with minimal amouts of isolated soy protein) try Boost or Boost Plus.
Have you tried baby food? The Baby food rice cereal with formula in it is great.

The ones you have to avoid are the wasibi flavored (wheat containing soy sauce, clearly labeled)
Have you tried the blue diamond nut thins yet? Those things are delicious

Diarrhea can cause a falsely low fecal elastase-the stool should be formed for the test to be really accurate. I hope you find a GI you can work with, I went through eight before I found one with a brain.
Here is hoping you have some answers soon!

I get the shots. Much easier than trying to take it orally. I do have a kind of "rust" spot on my rear end where I get the iron shots, though. That seems to be the only drawback that I have noticed.

You can drink 5-6 ensures a day. The only vitamin you have to worry about the upper limit on in Ensure in A and my dietician said I'd have to drink 8 a day, long term for that to be a problem. If you're drinking over 5 a day just skip the centrum.
Pancreatic digestive enzymes come in a handy powder you can also mix with applesauce. Little kids with cystic fibrosis take these meds, so they all come in easy to swallow little kid formulations.

At any rate, a trial of a the gluten free diet can't hurt her any. Its perfectly nutritious. I had failure to thrive, was developmentally delayed-and now have chronic long term issues (osteo, vision problems, liver and pancreas issues, peripherial and autonomic neuropathy...)
Prior to getting a proper celiac dx, I've been diagnosed with everything but the Black Plague
Since you've been working with the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome dx, I assume you are aware that celiac is a common casue of pancreatic insufficiency.
      For example

There are many.many neurological complications associated with celiac disease. The symptoms can be so bad in some individuals that celiac has been mistaken for mad cow diesease, for example.
You can have both RA and celiac. I have Sjogren's and celiac. Hopefully, if that is the case, a gluten free diet will reduce your symptoms.

What size chocolate bunny are we talking here-four ounce? Two pound?
Do you still have your gallbladder? If you do that should be enough fat to trigger a nice gallbladder attack. Can you see your doc tommorow if this continues?
Celiac and gallbladder disease...and big huge chocolate bunnies...
      From this very site
BTW...If your urine turns very dark (like Coke) its a dire emergency and you should go to the ER.

Sorry, I misread your first post and thought you'd been working with this doc for two years already. One of my dear friends is a naturopath and she generally has folks sorted out inside of six weeks . Coconut water is an excellent choice.
Squash, water chestnuts, artichoke, pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, hydrolized amino drinks (hypoallergenic sources of protein, such as Neocate baby formula-all the proteins are completely broken down and totally non allergic) Neocate and blueberry smoothie?
If you're reacting to everything, have you looked into Mastocytosis. That it my favorite unknown disease
      Docs always miss that one....

As usual, I totally agree with Ursa. Your daughter could be misdiagnosed. The blood work can have false negatives. Have you considered a nice family gene test?

The mental effects of celiac can be so bad they have been mistaken for the fatal brain disorder
(your DH should accept this, its from the Mayo Clinic )

as everybody said, lots of info online.
Oh yeah...and here is a link on
