  1. I would call but it's Sunday.
  2. I am making supper and wanted to use this - does anyone know if it gluten free? Adolphs tenderizer all natural original unseasoned. It lists food starch but not what kind!
  3. Does anyone know about Ortega and Old El Paso? I can't seem to find info on these two. Thanks for the info given so far. I have tried McCormick but we didn't like it as well.
  4. I am trying some new recipes and need gluten free taco seasong, gluten-free instant mashed potatoes, oh and gluten-free soy sauce. If anyone could let me know the brands they use, that would be great!
  5. IgA - there are four different types of IgA antibodies that are tested when checking for celiac disease IgA endomysial antibody (IgA EMA) IgA tissue transglutaminase antibody (IgA tTG) IgA antigliadin antibody (IgA AGA) IgG antigliadin antibody (IgG AGA) Elevated levels of any of these means celiac disease is a possiblity. Which ones did she test positive for? How high were her levels. Certain ones are more accurate than others. For example - a positive endomysial marker is 98%-100% accurate for celiac disease without a biopsy. I would call and talk to the lab to get the specifics of the test and then ask for someone else to interpret the results. If your child has elevated IgA levels it should be looked into. Did you have allergy testing done as well? If not I would do so. If you can't get better results get a second opinion. My doctor has very limited knowledge of celiac disease. I was even told that is was up to me whether or not to follow a gluten free diet for them! My computer was broke and I finally got a new one and just saw this post. I will try to check back to see if you have more questions.
  6. I thought all vodka was gluten-free. I found a list of gluten-free vodka and Skol vodka was not on it. Does anyone know- are there some vodkas that are not gluten-free?
  7. Does anyone know if this is gluten-free or not? I can't seem to find it online. It doesn't list any ingredients. Dh wants me to have a couple shots with him but I'm not sure about it.
  8. Is dextrin usually gluten-free if it is made in the US?
  9. The canned fruit punch made be Fruit Works is what I am asking about. I can't find the info on whether or not it is gluten-free. Does anyone know? Also on the subject of drinks what about Fitz rootbeer?
  10. Three out of four of my children were diagnosed with celiac disease in July. My doctor dropped the news on my head without any teaching, explanation, nothing. I did internet research and my mother ordered Betty Haagman's book for me along with a couple others. That is how I learned to feed and take care of my kids. It has taken a toll on me and has been a huge stress living in constant fear I will make a mistake and "poison" them. I recently realized the spaghetti sauce I have been feeding them is not gluten-free. They eat it at least once a week. I am overcome with guilt. It is the first major mistake I have made. I feel so responsible so guilty. They trust me to pick the right foods and make these decisions for them and I have been poisoning them unknowingly week after week as I wonder why they aren't getting better faster. I am just in tear over it. That and the fact that I have no doctor support and I just also found out they should have follow checks on certain things and certain labs done after a celiac diagnosis and their doctor hasn't ordered or checked anything. I am worried about their health. I don't know a good doctor to change to that knows about celiac. I am just feeling overwhelmed with the responsibility and my limited knowledge and the guilt of my error. There really isn't a point to this post I guess. I just am sitting here in tears and needed to vent. Has anyone else been through this? Did you make mistakes in the beginning? Did you feel this guilty?
  11. I am stressing because we have been eating Prego spaghetti sauce at least once a week (the whole family eats gluten-free) and after further investigating I am thinking maybe it isn't gluten-free after all. I will call the company next week during business hours if I can't find someone that knows before then. It is really stressing me though so I thought I would ask here to see if someone knew. I am asking in particular about Prego italian sausage and garlic spaghetti sauce. What sauces are gluten-free and what aren't?
  12. Someone gave these to my kids and they really want them but I can't find any info on them. The only thing it says on the package is grape flavor.
  13. Soap?

What about dial and dawn? Are they gluten-free?
  14. Can anyone tell me the names of some yogurt that is gluten free? I would really appreciate it.
  15. Curious if anyone found the answer to this?
