  1. Ummm...They didn't say if it was negatives or weak positives? She doesn't have a ton of symptoms, she just seems to spend some extra time in the bathroom Me not really knowing whats normal and what isn't, sort of panicked, and wanted to have her tested before I keep loading her up on regular breads and pastas...She does seem to have a bit of stomach pain which I don't think is normal as often as she has it? She is going to a gi doctor next month so I guess we'll see what they want to do! Thanks for responding
  2. Mellow Mushroom (Pizza)

Yep, I've enjoyed it several times with no problems! They also have gluten free beer there
  3. Just wondering what kinds of foods moms and dads pack for their kids school lunches? Any good breads you've discovered for sandwiches? Any other simple hand held food??
  4. Hi There, just got my 8 y/o daughter blood tested...They said the tests were negative, but it appears she has an IgA deficiancy, which I've never heard of, but apparently can make the celiac tests give a false negative...anyone else have this problem or know anything about it??
  5. Wow, so very happy that you have found out for sure!! She will start to feel so much better once the gluten is cut from her life I also have an 8 y/o daughter, we are in the midst of trying to figure out of she has it to. Thank you for pressuring the doctors to do more and find whats wrong with your daughter! You should definately get the blood test too if you can!
  6. Help Me Please!

Thanks I have switched to a brand that says specifically "gluten free"...I have also eliminated just about everything from my diet except fresh fruit and veg juice, cottage cheese, and gluten free soups...I feel like I need to heal...I'll give it a few days and slowly add more things back in...
  7. I Had A Miracle

b12 deficiency can cause vision problems, celiac or gluten intolerance can cause b12 deficiency!!!
  8. Ugh I need opinions!! Apparently I have a b12 deficiency which was discovered after some numbness/tingling in my arms and feet...Ok. So, started taking b12 vitamins and also one a days...yah...have been VERY careful about what I've been eating...for the past 3 weeks I've had weird, celiac sounding but not quite feeling symptoms....literally, EVERY time I eat, no matter WHAT I eat, diarrhea (sorry...true)...once I go, I'm better...but its seriously 3 minutes after I finish a meal, I go, I'm better...besides that, I have had ZERO literally, sleeping 14 hours on the weekends, spending days in bed, on the couch, zero energy to get up, falling asleep at my desk at work..obviously, no energy b/c I have no food staying in my body!! But, I haven't eaten ANYTHING bad that I'm aware of and normal celiac symptoms for me go away in about 3 days and this has been 3 weeks...Please...has anyone experienced anything like this or have any ideas? I've been to 4 diff docs (for the b12 symptoms) in the past 2 months and am simply tired of seeing doctors who tell me to take a xanax and move on!!! I'm sad I'm hurting and I need help! Anyone?
  9. OMG I'm so sorry I only read your first post!!! Yes legal is definately worht it
  10. if you live in or around Boston, you know Legal seafood and legal test kitchen are both very gluten free friendly? And AMAZING. THEY ARE MY favorite places ever Good luck
  11. This May Sound Crazy...

I've purposely glutened myself a couple times. Not because I wanted to see what the reaction would be (I already know) but because I HAD to have something...The last time I did it, it was pizza and the wierd thing was the pizza didn't even taste good...I asked my mom if she thought it tasted funny and she said no it tasted normal, so maybe my tastes are changing, who knows? All I know is I wouldn't do it again...I always do it on a Friday night so I have the weeked to recover...It sounds ridiculous and it's only been maybe 2 or 3 times...One time I went CRAZY and ate everything I could find gluten b/c I figured if I was gonna suffer I better make it worth it...Boy did I pay! Took a couple days for me to feel back to normal...
  12. I seem to accidentaly gluten myself every other week...As you can imagine I'm pretty much out of commission for 2 or so days...I cannot possibly function at work with having to run to the bathroom every 20 minutes and well, you know the rest...I've had the same job for a while, pre diagnosis and they knew I had issues but I just don't think the understand the severity of it...I feel like some kind of freak and I'm always missing days of work I'm running out of sick days. I just don't think thy understand how BAD it feels when I'm glutened (is "glutened" a word?). I guess I'm just not careful enough and half the time I don't even know what it was I ate that got me.... Does anyone else have this issue?
  13. Can Someone Please Talk Me Off The Ledge

Thank you guys again! I will definately try these ideas. Thank you! I emailed mary kay to see if their cream was gluten free. They emailed me back and told me to call. I called. They told me they can't say for sure if it contains gluten or not... I had a beef jerky stick. I shouldn't have. On the label it said "flavorings, seasonings". I called. They told me they can't say for sure if it contains gluten or not... Is that normal? How do you get to the bottom of something like that? Or, do you just avoid it?
  14. Can Someone Please Talk Me Off The Ledge

Thank you missys mom. It was a frozen premade mac n cheese, so none of those things applied. But the more I've been thinking about it, I do think it could be my mary kay cream that I've been using on my lips. I was doing really good for a while (wasn't using it) and just the past 2 or 3 weeks (using it) I've been experiencing symptoms...I emailed them so hears hoping that's the cause of it...I guess I do really need to be more careful about my cosmetics and toiletries, which up until now I haven't been. You guys rock. Thank you. By the way, what kind of bread would you eat that big mac with???
