  3. Wow, Lux thank you for your reply. Good to hear that it does do some good. I have decided to take the plunge and go for it. My NP seems to think that it will be good for me and I have gone every other route to try and get back to normal, why not this?? Lol...I am sure I can live through it if Ilived through the prep for the colonoscopy :-) Thanks again, and thanks confusedks, i did PM you will a few questions. Cheers :-P
  4. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am wondering if anyone knows which Hershey's chocholate bars are safe in Canada? Mostly I am wondering about Oh Henry, Skor, Eat-More...etc.etc..... Please help...I am in need of a chocolate bar!!
  5. Hello, I am just wondering if anyone has tried colon hydrotheraphy / colonic before? My naturopath strongly reccoments I go for a few sessions to get myself cleaned out as well as help to strengthen my colon and get it working properly again.....but it doesn't sound" fun ". Anyone else tried and had good results??
  6. Blood Blisters

Thanks. I never really thought of it until now. I used to have them all the time, and then went gluten free, and now today I am not feeling hot and noticed I have a few blood blisters..... Hrrrrmmmm....wonder what it was that got me?!?!?
  7. Strange question, but I keep getting blood blisters and canker sores in my mouth. Is this a sign of being glutened?? Thanks :-P
  8. Gluten Free In Canda

Hey there, I live in beautiful British Columbia Canada ( Kelowna ) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any Candian restaraunts that are accomidating to the gluten free diet? I am at the point now where I want to start venturing out, with friends, instead of always eating at home first, but I am not sure at ALL where would be a good place to start. Thanks for any help :-P
  9. Colonoscopy

I have no clue what type of blood test I had, all I rememeber my doctor saying was that he did a blood test for celiac, and it came back normal?!?! You know how doctors are. Everything has been left at " we are not sure what is wrong with you if anything, just give it time, things will get better "...... RIGHT. I am now seeing a naturopath who at least has me functioning again, although not 100% better. I have cut out gluten and soy as well ( I have always been lactose intolerant ), and even went as for as to receive some " colon hydrotherapy ".....I am willing to do anything to get better. But this is breaking the bank and my spirit and so I was just wondering if they could even tell for celiac or the likes with a colonoscopy. So, if you are just gluten intolerant then, woudl anything show up in the endoscopy?? How painful is that procedure? Lol, wonder how I go about seeing if I can get that done? Thanks for your help :-P
  10. Is a colonoscopy a good way to determine if you are gluten intolerant / allergic? I am only wondering as my blood work came back negative, but I was still having tonnes of symptoms and so went for my colonoscopy. They didn't specifically say that I did not have a gluten issue ( they did say that I did nto have Chrones for sure ), but, would they have even been able to tell if I did? All they checked of course was the large intestine?
  11. Vodka?

  12. If my blood test came back negative for the celiac there a good chance I am all good?
  13. What Other Foods To Avoid?

Hey Scotty, I am in the same boat as you and am on the verge of giving up. If you find out anything let me know. I am even quitting the whole gluten free diet just cause I did not notice much of a change...I still was allergic / intolerable to all foods it seems. I am just fed up. Just had a colonoscopy yesterday and they said " everything looks great, whatever is wrong with you will go away in time I am sure, just tough it out " ...ya right... Hope you find some answers.
  14. I have been experiencing the same thing!! Yet I went on the glutewn free diet for a month and so no change, and just went for a colonoscopy yesterday and they said I looked all tip top in there?? What else coudl be causing this if by chance it is NOT celiac? Any ideas?? If anyone can think of anything I am sure we would all be glad to hear it. After my colonoscopy yesterday and the doc saying " IO am fine and to just live with it " I am at the end of my rope with NO idea what to do???? HELP!
