  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Weird Occurance....

yeah i definately plan on contacting the company. lee-lee, you must have gotten a few bad bars too because normally they dont taste alcoholy at all. wenmin, unfortunatly most have nuts in them or say "may contain occassional nut shells" can order them for a good price at but i would avoid them if you cant have nuts.
  3. so last night at work i took a bite of my pecan larabar. i eat a larabar at least once a day so i definately know what they taste like and this one tasted DISGUSTING...nothing like what they normally taste like...almost like there was nail polish remover in it. i threw it out. then today, i brought another larabar to school....took a bite and it tasted the same as the one from last night!! gross! i couldnt figure out what could possibly be causing it but i just thought of something....could the dates in the bar somehow have started to ferment? and thats why it tasted so bad? anyone know anything about fermenting fruits? any info or ideas are appriciated.
  4. V8 Juice

ive had it before without any problems. its also really good if you heat it up and eat it like tomato soup (with crackers or grilled cheese mm)
  5. just bought some GFDF passover cakes, macaroons, and chocolate! i love this holiday!
  6. Many, many products contain gluten and do not say so...thats exactly why we get sick so often. I recently checked Lindt's website and it still had the same statement so I would be careful.
  7. Where/how is this breath test available? And yes I will simply avoid apples from now on..i rarely have them anyway..i just wanted to try the apple pie larabar the other day. babysteps, nice to know im not alone!
  8. So the other day i went to the grocery store (wegmans) and they had put out all the kosher for passover foods. I was looking around and was so happy when i found this chocolate bar from Israel that is dairy free and appears to be gluten free. it tastes delicious! but i am a little worried becuase i am not 100% sure it is gluten-free. it has an allergy warning that says it may contain traces of peanuts, hazelnuts, pecans, and almonds...nothing about wheat but then again who knows if the allergy labeling laws in Israel are different? and of course i know gluten is not ever listed as an allergen. Here are the ingredients: Sugar, Cocoa mass, Cocoa butter, Vanillin, Min Cocoa solids 45% What do you think?? It seems ok but i just need some reassurance. (I can not find a website or any sort of contact information anywhere!!)
  9. I LOVE Indian food!! It should be pretty easy to eat gluten free at Indian restaurants...apparently they use chick pea flour most commonly...according to the India restaurant I always eat at. But that doesnt go to say that they never use gluten flours...always ask of course.
  10. Chick Peas

whoa weirdest thing..i got D today after i ate chick peas! i was wondering if it could be because they are so high in fiber...? anyone know about that?
  11. What is the different between a dairy intolerance and a dairy allergy? How do you know which one you have?
  12. Have you checked barnes and noble? I've seen a bunch should look at their online store (plus they have free shipping on most things). I have one called The Gluten Free Vegan...just got it so havent tried anything out yet.
  13. Just wanted to warn everyone if you didnt already know that Pamela's baking/pancake mix is not dairy free!!! I would have never thought there would be dairy in a mix. It made me very, very sick today. It just reinforces that you can never assume anythinggg and must always read labels.
