  1. Gluten-free Coffee?

    Coffee is known for being a bowl movement initiator...and a diuretic. So, somewhat of a loose bowel would be expected, especially if you chased it with apple juice. But if you're SICK, like throwing up, I'd switch brands and get rid of the coffee maker. Its probably full of mold. My husband used to service those fountain/coffee/juice machines for businesses, and he won't drink from anything but a previously sealed bottle/can because the drink machines were always full of mold and roaches.
  2. Dh After Going Gluten Free

    I get what I fondly call "the itchies" too, on my lower back. In the beginning, I used primrose oil and that seemed to help as a topical treatment, but the most consistently effective food option I've found, is FLAX. When I can get sufficient amounts of it on a daily basis, I do just fine.
  3. Outback Steakhouse

    I want to give a special thank you to our local Outback Steakhouse, here in New London, CT. Our server was only 3 months on the job and it was obvious, the owners took the time to educate him. What a wonderful person. The plates/silverware was one of my concerns with eating out, so I was happy to learn that the cooks/servers have to physically go to another room behind the kitchen to get designated plates, silverware and gluten free ingredients. They're coming out with some new gluten free recipies in the near future :-) This was the 4th time I've eaten at an Outback Steakhouse and every time, the service has been oustanding, the food is yummy and most importantly, SAFE. Way to go guys!
  4. Really? I must have missed it...where does it say that on the bottle? I'd double check that.
  5. It's possible that's the case. Or it could be that your store is having trouble paying their bills and the manufacturer has shut them off until they catch up. Since it IS soup in a can, perhaps you could cut a deal by special ordering a case of 12? Many companies don't mind special orders if you buy a whole case.

    I know! I said the same thing! So, my husband checked, and what they had was tags that were added to the shelf labels, like they do in the deli, that said "gluten free" on them. As for me, for some reason, my body doesn't like Hershey's. Schaffenberger seems to be going okay for me though.

    My neighbor said he saw Hershey bars at the checkout at the bigY grocery stores, that specifically say GLUTEN FREE on the label.
