Per General Mills, all the chex labeled gluten-free (including the honey nut chex) are made in separate facilities to make sure there is no cross contamination. Are you sure you have a new box of chex that says "gluten-free" on it? The old boxes are still on the shelves some places. Also, it could be the milk on the cereal that is causing the problem. Often at the beginning of the gluten-free diet people are lactose intolerant until they heal. Hope you figure it out- we all know it is hard when your kid is hurting and you can't figure out the cause. Tania
I have received so many requests for these lists that I am going to attempt to post them. The formatting isn't great (these were all separate documents that I copied and pasted), but I think you can read lists. Hope this is helpful! Tania

The list below says that the Crayola modelling products are gluten free. They do not have added gluten but they do have cross-contamination issues. This was confirmed to me by a representative on the telephone and here is what their own website says....
The exact ingredients of our products are proprietary, however, we are happy to provide you with the 7 most common ingredient requests NOT FOUND in products currently manufactured by Crayola--This does not include products manufactured under license. Please check packaging carefully to determine manufacturing company.
(Latex gloves are one of the personal protection options requested by and available to our employees for the occasional handling of raw materials and finished goods during the product manufacturing process.)
We are often asked if any of our products contain gluten (wheat flour). Gluten is contained only in Crayola Dough. Other Crayola modeling materials, including Model Magic modeling compound, Modeling Clay, Air-Dry Clay, and Model Magic Fusion are gluten free. All of these products, however, are produced on the same machinery. Although the machines are cleaned prior to the start of each production run, there is a slight possibility that trace amounts of gluten from Crayola Dough may be present in the other modeling compound products.
For information regarding specific ingredients not listed, please call us at 1-800-272-9652 weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM Eastern Time.
While there are lots good gluten-free options for breakfast foods, one lesson I have learned is that a celiac kid does not need to eat breakfast foods for breakfast or dinner foods for dinner. My daughter loves to eat rice and other leftovers from dinner for her breakfast.
Typical breakfast foods that my daughter likes: Kinnikinnick bagels, toast (Kinnikinnick bread), waffles/pancakes from Kinnikinnick mix, Enviro Kids cereals, Enviro kids cereal bars, only oats apple and cinnamon gluten-free oatmeal
Hope that helps- Tania
My daughter had constipation as a symptom prior to dx (never vomited). After 3 years gluten-free she was given the wrong pasta in a restaurant and began vomiting within a hour. We haven't had any other gluten exposures since then but I definitely think the vomiting was a gluten reaction. Tania
The last time I checked (about a year ago):
Johnson and Johnson- all the liquid soaps and shampoo were ok; also the hair detangler is ok
Baby Magic- all the liquid soaps and sunscreens
Loreal shampoos- ok
Suave for Kids Shampoo- ok
Kan-doo- all are ok
Also, I just checked all the baby wipes this week and Pampers, Huggies, and Equate (Walmart) were ok.
Most of the kid products companies, like Johnson and Johnson, are good about answering your questions.
I called San J which makes San J Wheat-free soy sauce (it is gluten-free, too) last year because of the same issue of never knowing when we'd need soy sauce. They said that their bottle label does suggest refrigeration but that it is not necessary. Thus, we keep a small bottle (plastic thing I got at Walmart) filled with San J in the van at all times and take it out when we go somewhere we want it. Tania
All sunscreens (lotions and sprays) are gluten-free. This includes the Water Babies and Kids No Tears sunscreen.
**Their Indoor Tanning Lotion is NOT gluten-free.
This is current- I called last week.
