  1. Gluten Free French Fries

Okay, Mcdonald's website clearly says they contain wheat. So, I guess we celiacs can't have them. But, Ore Ida makes a fast food fry that I buy at Walmart that are really really really good, and it says gluten free on the bag. So are there hashbrowns. Not sure about burger king, but i think there apple fries are okay. Don't take my word on it though, haven't been there to eat....
  2. Can I just say, AWESOME site... Thank you so much, I can't wait to try some of those recipes. Thanks again.
  3. Wow, thanks for responding so fast. So when do they get tested again? I know that after 3 months i had my two tested to see how they were doing and they were doing great they said. Almost back to normal, is what they said. But what about my other child, when do i have him tested for celiac again. When he was first tested, only one part of the test came back with positive result, but he had the biopsy and they said that he didn't have celiac. Thanks again.
  4. I had all three kids of mine tested, two came back with celiac disease. I had a question from my doctor today, which surprised me. She asked ME if my son can develop this disease later in life? Ummmm, I guess I never thought of this and figured of all people she would know. Guess no one really knows much about this disease at all where I am from. Any answers to this question, guess I never even thought of this. Thanks.
  5. These are gluten free from what they say. ChapStick
  6. The Chap Stick "classic" kind are gluten free.
  7. Thanks. Right now the only thing I am taking is 2 pills of this Acai pill? Not sure what is in it, guess I will have to go and look. Thanks for all the help everyone.
  8. Thanks for the replies, I am writing them down and taking the list with me. Keep them coming please. Just a question, probably stupid. But, are you saying i shouldn't take any vitamins that have folate in them until i get tested for B12? Guess I didn't understand that part. Thanks again, i really appreciate it. Jenny
  9. I have celiac disease and found out in December of last year. For about 2 years now i have been tired and have NO energy AT ALL. She keeps telling me its because i am depressed, but i just don't think that is it. They have tested me for thyroid? Everything checked out okay. So I called today to make an appointment to get some tests done for tiredness and no energy. The bad thing is, my doctor has NO CLUE about celiac disease. Can you guys help me come up with a list of things they can test me for. I really am sick and tired, LOL of being TIRED and no energy. 2 years is long enough and i have even gained weight because i lay around a lot and can't do anything cause i am tired. Please help, I go in Monday morning and would like something to tell her about so i don't waist my money again for them to tell me it's because I am depressed. Thanks everyone.
  10. besides the dried beef, what else can you put in that cheese ball. i was looking for the actual cheese balls like the other poster above but i also don't mind this cheese ball recipe.. Thanks so much. sounds yummy just wondering what else i can put in exchange for the beef? Have a great day.
  11. I have been craving cheese balls but can't seem to find a recipe? I know normal cheese balls are out of the question because of the breading? Anyone have any ideas on a recipe that is good. Also, I don't use a deep fat fryer to fry things like french fries so can you make these in the oven instead of a deep fat fryer. Thanks for any help you have.
  12. Yes you can have coco pebbles and fruity pebbles only from Post I believe. I also found out you can buy malt o meal fruity dyno bites. If you have a walmart near you I know there gummy worms say gluten free on the back and they are only 1.00. You can have Doritos Cool Ranch chips and all flavors of those Lays Stax chips that come in the can. Not the pringles though, just the lays stax. Walmarts lunch meat will say gluten free on them as well. Hmm, that is all I can think of for now sorry it isn't much. But then there really isn't much out there that says gluten free on them for sure. Hope this helps.
  13. The ingredients are: Drop Cookies 1 cup evaporated milk???? 2 cups sugar 1 cup butter 3 eggs 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 3 1/2 cups of flour?????? 1 tsp vanilla 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes My question is: How to substitute white rice flour for the regular flour? Also, I don't have evaporated milk on hand, anyone know the substitute for that also? Thanks so much for any help
  14. How come when you email general mills they can't tell you if they are gluten free or not? I emailed them last week about the honey kix and the berry berry kix and they emailed back but never said they were gluten free???? Anyone know why they can't just specify if they are or not? Thanks for any help.... Keep us all informed if you know anything
  15. This might sound grose??? But I made Chili last week and I usually crush saltines in my chili and as I was eating it with my 6 year old we both decided to crush up some rice chex cereal into our chili. Let me tell you, it wasn't so mad, lol. I didn't mind it at all. Of course I miss saltines, but you have to do what you have to do right? Just wanted to let you know what I did. don't know how it would taste with tomato soup but you never know. Hope I didn't grose anyone out by saying crush rice chex cereal into your soups, haha. Merry Christmas
