  1. Yoplait is my favorite. And I enjoy Certain flavors of Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt as a treat on occasion.
  2. Well, today for Father's Day my aunt gave me a recipe to share. I think it would fit with your needs. It is Gluten Free, Dairy Free Apple Crisp: base: 4 c. chopped apples 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 c. Sugar Dash of water Mix these ingredients together and place in a sprayed baking pan topping: 1/2 c. rice flower 1/3 c. oil 2/3 c. sugar mix well and spread over the apple mixture bake on 400 until bubbly and brown it was really quite tasty!
  3. Hey all. Tomorrow will mark one month of gluten free. Before i got diagnosed i went to the doctor because i had fallen back into bingeing and purging terribly. So when i found out about the celiac i just said okay. don't worry about the 15 pounds you need to lose. just try to eat healthily and stay gluten-free and see how you feel. well i feel better. the thing is i am a bit depressed about how i look. i guess i want to look as good as i am now beginning to feel! i realize now that being unaware of the celiac really lead to my bingeing and purging on some level because i felt like crap when i ate a little or alot.... Well now i want month 2 to be sort of like phase 2. i want to get healthly all around. i want to eat 3 meals a day maybe a snack or two and exercise. can anyone give me a little encouragement? because i want to do this but at the same time it feels overwhelming... thank you for listening.
  4. This is super cool! Very fun to make!! I just did 4 Tbsp. Brown Rice Flour and it worked out pretty well. I suggested it to my mom who has decided to try the gluten free diet. She doesn't like the texture of the store bought bread so maybe she will like this. I liked it I think part of the whole thing may be though that i FEEL so much better on the diet that if things taste alittle different it doesn't matter Thank you for sharing the recipe.
  5. i have had an eating disorder for about 14 years. i feel that for the most part i have been in recovery for the last year or so, but not without a few relapses. i was just diagnosed this week and the gluten free diet thing has me a little freaked out. i feel the monster lurking as well. plus now when i go out, people assume it is an eating disordered thing to not eat this or that. my mom still doesn't quite grasp the concept of gluten free and the necessity of it. it is hard i am dealing with the same thing and wonder if people have advice. eddie i totally hear you. i have an appointment with a dietitian at the end of the month. hopefully she can help. When i blew out my candles on my birthday my wish was to no longer have an eating disorder. now celiac.
  6. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to feel better fast after being glutened. It was unintentional of course but i am feeling so wiped out and fatigued. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. is sadly not gluten free. i thought they were since they sell gluten free snacks on the side, but they are not. and as a rookie mistake i went there before contacting the company. only after i felt ill did i contact them and here is their reply: "Unfortunately, no. There is gluten in our sherbets and frozen yogurt." Can i just ask WHY IS GLUTEN IN THERE???? So now i feel sick. And i can plan on a sick day on my only day off tomorrow.
  8. Did my doctor really run all the required tests? it seems like most people on here have had more tests done than this... so maybe i don't have this?
  9. once i go on the gluten free diet for a long time will my blood tests come back negative for celiac disease?
