      Blood Test Results
      My blood test results are

      IgA 467 range is 82-453

TTG Ab IgA 6 range is 0-19 units

I see where my ttg is negative, but why is my IgA elevated? I have decided to go gluten free anyway to see if symptoms go away.

Thanks in advance for explaining this to me

I just moved from Memphis and if you are willing to go to Collierville there is a nurse practioner that is great named Robert Fortune, FNP. I know he is in Collierville, but don't know his number. If you do not want a nurse practioner and want a doctor try Monika Natarajan in Germantown. She only works, I think, 3 days a week, but she will take time with you and listen. There may be a wait to see her, but that is because she does listen to her patients whole heartdely. Try those two and see what you think. If you need a GYN that would listen try Donald Hamby in Germantown. He is wonderful!! He helped me with my low vitamin D levels.

Thank you very much for the replies. I know that I have to take the vitamin D for one week everyday and then one once a week for eight weeks and she will retest it. As far as my TSH all they told me was it was normal. I have not received the labs as of yet, but when the nurse called me and told me my results I had asked her what my vitamin D was suppose to be and she didn't know. I told her I believed it was to be above 30 and she said oh okay maybe you should come work for us.

Is there something I can take to help with the fatigue while my body is healing? It is somewhat better, but I think it is of course not 100% yet.

      Lot Of Questions
I have lots of quesitons about Celiac Disease and was hoping that you more experienced people would be able to help me.

I have been having a lot of issues since 2008 after the birth of my son. I have joint pain, constipation, chronic fatigue, bloating, headaches daily, low vitamin D levels, 6 miscarriages, all four kids were 4 and 5 weeks premature, low vitamin D levels, and sever abdominal cramping. I also have antiphospolipid (sp), which is an autoimmune disorder. I had endoscopy in 2010 and was told I did not have celiac. I still don't feel any better.

I went to a new doctor last week, (had to find new dr because of move) and I was telling her all of these symptoms. She did all kinds of bloodwork such as my Thyroid, Liver, CBC, vitamin D and B levels. In the office I asked her to do bloodwork for celiac and she said she would have to research what blood tests but in the meantime just go on a celiac diet and see if it helps. I know from research that you can't do that and then later get bloodwork done. So, my first question is how bad is it to self-diagnosis? Do your really have to have a diagnostic diagnosis?

I decided to just go on the diet last Saturday and see what happens. I have not had bloating, cramping, or constipation since. I am going to the bathroom every other day instead of every 5 days. I used to eat and stand up from the table and look 4 months pregnant I was so bloated. I don't have that now. I have noticed that my joint pain is a little better, but not completely gone, I am still having headaches, and I am a little tired but not as bad as I was. The nurse called yesterday and said all my bloodwork came back okay except my vitamin D level was a 16 and she called me in supplements. Can I take supplements and they absorb if I am not eating gluten? Also I read somewhere that there is a supplement you can get for fatigue while healing if anyone knows what that is I would appreciate it.

Sorry for the long post, just lots of quesitons.

I have a lot of questions about celiac disease. I am hoping that someone can help me. For years I have been dealing with stomach issues. I have constipation a lot with every other day stomach cramping. In 2008, I started having joint pain. Went to doctors and they ran all kinds of test and told me I had fibromyalgia. The medicine they put me on did not work at all. In 2010 I went to a gastro doctor and he did a biopsy before doing any blood work. They said I was negative for Celiac disease. In 2010 I then got pregnant and the joint pain went away, but the stomach issues did not. I also suffer from extreme fatigue. I have a doctor appt in a week, to run all kinds of tests, such as vitamin levels. I have in the past few years also had low vitamin D levels and anemia. Do you guys think I should ask for blood testing for Celiac? Are the symptoms I am having Celiac symptoms? I would appreciate any input. Thanks so much in advance.

Is Joint Pain Associated With Celiac?
Hello all, I am new here and I possibly think I might have celiac. I am being tested at the doctor tomorrow, but I have a quick question. Is joint pain associated with celiac? The reason I am asking is that I have extreme joint pain, my shoulders, hips and knees. Last night my husband and I went to a movie and I guess because I was sitting in one spot for so long I could hardly walk afterwards. We had to wait until the theater cleared out so he could help me down the stairs and it took me almost 20 minutes to get to the car. Any advice will help.

Hello, I am new to this board and I have lots of questions. My son is 15 months old and he was the perfect baby. Around 12 months old he started getting very irritable and always wanting to be held. My husband and I just thought it was the age, as this is our third child. I took him the other day for his 15 month check-up and the doctor is worried about a number of things. He has weighed 19 pounds since his 9 month check-up, but he eats a lot. He is allergic to eggs, has ezecma, and his bowels are very foul smelling. He is ordered blood test for celiac. I am reading that it might not come back positive because of enough gluten in his system.

Also, as I am doing more research, I have a lot of the symptoms that I just thought were normal. I have headaches 5 days a week, I am anemic, I have floating and mucusy stools, I have severe shoulder and joint pain, was tested for vit D because of joint pain and my levels are at an 8. I have been taking vit d for the last few months, but really no relief, I am always tired, but also thought this was because I work full-time and have 3 kids under 7. I could sleep for 12 hours straight and still be tired. I have had 7 miscarriages, which my ob says it is because I have antiphospholipid syndrome. I have the worst teeth ever imaginable. I am also very constipated. I will sometimes lay in the bed at night with stomach cramps that are worse than labor pains. I don't think I have ever been to the doctor and told them all my symptoms at once. My husband keeps telling me it is because I am getting older. I am only 28.

While doing some more research on celiac, I have also come across high liver enzymes. How accurate is this? My husband has had them for about 10 years now. Ever since we met. We have had a ton of blood tests done, ultrasounds, and a biopsy. We even saw a liver specialist. Nobody can figure out why. He also sleeps a lot, but he swears I am just seeing things.

What is your opionon on all of this?

      Thanks so much,
