  1. Itchy skin

I have DH and itchy skin is a symptom.     Your Dermatologist could write a script for Dapsone, provided you're not allergic to Sulphur.     Expect blood labs to go with using Dapsone.      You need to study everything that goes in your mouth for possible gluten content, including all meds.
  2. When I was diagnosed, it cost me a bit over a $1000 just to make my kitchen gluten-free.     It took another 4 years to zero in on other food issues with  nuts, casein/dairy, corn and strawberries.    Are you taking any generic meds?      Corn starch is used in some meds and the wax coating on supermarket vegetables is also made from corn.        So many foods are sweetened with fructose or corn sugar.      Try eliminating corn and see how you feel.
  3. Possibly DH?

Sounds like you should visit a Dermatologist.        You could try an Iodine patch test, but it's not accepted as the Gold Standard here n the USA.      I suffered with that itch for over 50 years.
  4. Have you seen a Dermatologist??      I suffered for over 50 years, before I was diagnosed by the 4th Dermatologist in 30 years.      They need to do a biopsy next to your break out.    A simple iodine test will usually indicate that you have DH or an iodine allergy, maybe both.    Pt iodine on the bandage part of a band aid and apply it to your skin for several hours.     DH will usually cause a rash.
  5. It took 9 months taking prescription (50,000 IUs) Vitamin D to get my D level into a safe zone.
  6. My health plan requires one to be diagnosed with Celiac Disease to win a brand name medication(certified gluten free) request.       I've had several generic meds that caused issues associated with gluten cc.      It's sometimes possible to win a social security disability case when diagnosed by the Gold Standard.   Good Luck.
  7. Constant joint pain even with no gluten

fargo,     What is your current Vitamin D level??    Low D may cause joint pain in some people.
  8. Fraud?

Gene testing may rule out Celiac Disease.
  9. Were you eating gluten before the biopsy?     You could have DH.
  10. My Turn For Possible Dh

Try going to a new Dermatologist.
  11. Giwi777,      When was the last time your Vitamin D was checked??      I had many pain issues when mine was very low.
  12. WoW....       You have DH and want to eat gluten.    How were you diagnosed with DH?       It could take quite a while for that gluten to exit your body and stop causing a DH reaction.    I would rethink that approach.
  13. Disability

Do you have any hearing loss?
  14. Sit Down Dinner Wedding Reception Help!

GFDonna,  "Hope for the Best", isn't an option for those that must eat gluten-free!!!      You must step up and ask if there's a gluten-free option offered!     I've found Chefs for Weddings to be very knowledgeable and go out of their way to accommodate our gluten-free requests.   Good Luck,
  15. Hives Only Reaction

Read up on Dermatitis Herpetiformis and have a Dermatologist take biopsies.
