  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Caryn- I am also a freshman in college...I was diagnosed two years ago, but still had to make the adjustment with college dining services. It's great that you're contacting your college...I'm certain that they will make efforts to accomodate you. My own university did, and they're very helpful about answering my questions in terms of how things are prepared in the different food areas. Good luck! Don't be discouraged...it gets easier! And you'll be feeling so much better..it's definitely worth the "struggle."
  3. I have...but I didn't think to attribute it to the Celiac's, good point. Looking back, it didn't last all that long, but it was quite uncomfortable. So, you're not alone...but I don't really have anything that could be of help! I'm sorry! Take care of you, and good luck!
  4. This may be a general digestion issue to even those without Celiacs...but my mom (also a Celiac) and I were talking about how we feel after we eat popcorn and the likes. Obviously I understand that gas and bloating could occur as the food is filled with air...but as far as stomach pains and nausea go, it's the same as a gluten reaction. It doesn't really matter if it's air popped from just kernels or if it's from a bag. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
  5. I'm from Rensselaer, Indiana...however, I'm currently a student at Butler University in Indianapolis.
