      Adrenal Glands And Celiac
Hey does anyone know if adreal gland functioning is related to celiac disease??? i was told that my adrenal glands may be a bit off b/c nothing affects me, like i can drink coffee or energy drinks n go right to sleep no problem, and i can drink them when i'm tired but they won't wake me up. but i just had my first energy drink since going gluten free (7 months ago) and it actually woke me up n gave me energy...! weird! just wondering! thx!

      Diet Pills And Cleanses
Have a few questions. I've slowly gained a few pounds since starting the gluten free diet last january, and i am not impressed! does anyone kno if it's alright for celiac's to take diet pills? or is it okay for us to do a cleanse? I'd rather do a cleanse but I know some auto immune disorders like thyroid disease mean u can't do a clease cuz it'll screw ur system up! anyone know anything???

      Cc And Bbqs
I've been reading how CC is an issue when bbq'ing. When i've been bbq'ing this summer, i've been making sure to scrape the grill off really well before putting my meat on the bbq, than make sure nothing else is touching my meat and make sure no bread is around it. I also use my own flipper for my meat. Is that still not good enough? How can I be sure the bbq is clean w/out wrapping my meat up?? I always get bloated w/in minutes of being glutened, but haven't had any problems with bbq's yet so I'm confused! thx in advance!!!

" Another was at a conference, workshop for my job. They provided lunch and it was club sandwiches. I took off all of the bread and cut up the filling like a salad. Two other people watched me doing it and said. "What a great idea, we don't need all of these carbs." They all did it too."

I have a question about this statement, if you take the filling out of a sandwhich and cut it up, won't that still contain gluten from cross contamination?

      Deep Fryer And Cc
Hi there, I have a question regarding things that are deep fried. I read that we cannot eat anything that has been deep fried in shared oil, like if fries are fried in same fryer as chicken nuggets and such.. but have also been told that the heat in the oil will kill the gluten on the fries.. and I was at a restaurant the other day and wanted yam fries, but was told they were cooked in the same fryer as the other breaded items.. yet a girl who was at restaurant who was also celiac ordered them and was fine... so can we eat fries that are in a shared fryer?? thx!

can ppl who are silent sufferers actually die from eating gluten and having no reaction? would the intestine eventually shut itself down??

This is what i haven't been able to get a clear answer on.. if you still eat something but don't react from it, it still causes damage, and wht will this end u doing?? Like i know that Celaic's are at a 10% greater risk to getting cancer, but that's just from being Celiac not from eating gluten right? Like if you eat gluten sometimes but don't react that doesn't mean that you'll be at an even highter risk to get it does it???

      Cc In Factories
Hey everyone, been away for a while but I'm back! I have a question, I read in a past post that we can eat items that are manufactured in a factory that says "produced in a factory that also produces wheat...etc.." as long as it doesn't bother us.. However, I don't understand something. Even if it doesn't bother us or give us symptoms.. it could still be damaging our intestines couldn't it?? I find that if I do eat gluten I'll bloat up instantly but nothing serious happens, which i find surprising as both my blood test and endoscopy came back positive. So just wanna know if we can eat things that have this disclosure on them?? thx!

ok that helps thx, however, if we eat things that are made in a shared facility but don't react, we could still be damaging our intestine just not feeling it, correct?? that's what i don't get.. i've been avoiding things that say made in shared facilities..

I'll sleep in late, get up, and within a few hours so extremely tired again! I'm eating lots of fruit and veggies, taking vitamins, drinking lots of water.. anything i can do to help this?

i'm confused about dextrin.. can we have it??? are the FDA regulation the same as in Canada? Also.. if something says "made in a facility that also produces wheat products" that means to avoid it completely too right???
