An article in said that 70% of untreated celiacs have poor blood perfusion in their brains. Before I was diagnosed my brain felt like it had sand in its cogs. I did better at low altitudes-more oxygen. My brain got better after I stopped eating gluten.

My primary teeth were almost black. They would have formed before I was born. My mother did not take anything like tetracycline while whe was prgenant.I think my mother has nonsymptomatic celiac. I wonder if a leaky gut could leak gluten into the blood and into an unborn baby. I have two alleles for celiac.

I've been reading about the sorbitol H2-BT breath test for celiac disease. It sounds much more accurate and sensitive than the blood tests.

My sister has Type 1 diabetes. A cousin has celiac disease, and I suspect her brother does, too. Another cousin has Crohns. ( That looks misspelle.) I wonder if she is really a celiac.

    5. Janice C added a post in a topic Armour Vs. Levoxyl

I found doctors through two hypothyroidism doctors who have websites. One is It lists doctors in different states. They prescribe T3 to many patients. The synthetic thyroid hormone is T4. Many people don't do well on it because their cells cannot convert T4 to the active thyroid hormone T3. Armours has both T3 and T4. Cytomel is T3.

Dr. and Dr. Lowe. Their office may know of a doctor near you. I phoned them at (303) 413-9101. They are in Boulder, Colorado.

The body needs selenium to convert T4 to T3. If we can't absorb minerals, we could have a problem there.

According to around 400AD several grains (including the original wheat) were hybridized together. The resulting grain was high gluten. The original wheat mentioned in the Bible had negligble wheat.

My ovaries were removed when I was in my 20s. I hope you find a better solution. I wish I had known about avoiding wheat. I am on a low sugar diet and take vanadyl sulfate and cinnamon. I think hypoglymemia, diabetes, and insulin resistance are related.

I also eat organic foods to lessen exposure to organochlorine pollutants. Those estrogen mimics are linked to PCOS, endometriosis, cancer. I have read these xenoestrogens are chemically similar to Candida. Candida may trigger celiac.

I had hypothyroid, pcos, and celiac for years before diagnosis. I'm on the gluten free diet now, and hope it clears up a lot of things. Polycystic ovaries are linked with insulin resistance. My last blood test came back with low blood sugar (56). If I find anything specific that helps, I'll post back.

If someone in my kitchen handles bread, then touches a plate or piece of lettuce , can I get enough gluten off that plate to harm me? Do I need to wash the lettuce?
