  1. I cannot eat ANY does not give me the runs. Dairy is so bad it takes many many immodiums to get back to normal. Please be careful about altoids and peppermint teas..they can contain gluten. I know when I am having a bad intestine day....a good day is one immodium in the morning...a bad one is up to eight.... I would ditch any and all dairy.....then see how you feel.
  2. This is soo strange, I know this is an older post but this is called Discalcula It is a form of dyslexia and I have it. I also have missing years of my childhood and foggy memories. My Mother took me for tests but nothing was determined. I was branded Lazy and unmotivated. My condition worsened during the school year because public schools are bathed in gluten. "wheat germ paste" and "chalk" of the black board kind are two very big culprits of gluten. I thought this was weird because I am now just researching the effects of my celiac disease on my past and what it will mean for my future. I have been mis and undiagnosed until 3 years ago. Thanks Peg
  3. Miss Bonnie I can sympathize with you. I am post celiac diag 1 1/2 years. I am just now feeling a little better and have (so far) held down my new full time job. I was off work for a year after many emergency room visits and many doctors scratching thier heads. I have been Gluten free and dairy free for over a year. I noticed other things make me sick too. Oats in particular even the gluten free kind. I cannot go to a bakery because the flour dust in the air can make me very sick. Cross contamination was a big problem for me. I had to replace all of my wooden utensils and scrub down my kitchen. I know you probably know all of that but I do sympathize. Hang in there!
  4. I know this post is an old one but I have reoccurring shingles and have had them since 1989. I have had the first doctor shame me for having "herpes" on my arm. I have been faithful to my husband so I was horrified when he misdiagnosed me with that STD on my arm no less. Another doctor said it was "shingles" and gave me the standard medicine for it. The medicine does not work. The lotion does, not the pill. I have "shingles" now on my palms of my hands as it has traveled. The last year I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which for me is a very bad autoimmune disease. If I eat any...breathe any..or get any Gluten on me in me or anywhere near me, My immune system "crashes" and I get an out break of "shingles" which now I am learning are not related to the Herpes Zoster Shingles but my body sending me a signal that my small intestines have had enough and I have been accidentally contaminated. Hope this helps you.... Sky
