lol yeah I'm familiar with what prunes do that's why I am taking them, the sorbitol could be an issue yeah but I was more just concerned with this non organic brand's use of  potassium sorbate, you have the right idea with those sun sweet brand, I just didn't see any organic prunes around here :/
      but thanks for the response!

      Quick Question On Ingredients
I am looking at this bag of prunes as I was interested in trying 1 or 2 and seeing how that goes, but the ingredients list, Sulphites which I know is fine and is just a preservative, but it also contains potassium sorbate which has been proven to have some negative side effects, I just can't find out in what amount is it a health risk, if I ate the prune and had a problem would I be able to say okay yeah it's just prunes, or would I have to worry about the Potassium sorbate causing issues.

I am pretty sensitive to corn yeah, I have just recently switched over to celtic sea salt and while it does leave me a lil itchy, it doesn't seem to cause any kind of swelling or anything so it's good for when I need salt in fermenting or something.

Has This Ever Happened To You From Salt?
I get some swelling in my right knee and left elbow, it amuses me that it's opposite sides like that, but it is actually fairly sore on the elbow =/ this is a newer reaction, I've always reacted poorly to salt but only with skin/scalp never a legit join inflammation, it may not have been the salt I was just wondering if anyone HAD this particular reaction or something similar from salt.

I've never heard of Yerba, I might have to give that a try if the metamucil continues to let me down.  Ain't nobody got time for Insomnia lol

      Metamucil Issues
I got in to see a new gastro, and the visit really didn't amount to much, but at least he seemed somewhat interested in finding a solution to my issues, but he wanted to see what would happen if I added metamucil into my diet for a while, I had never actually tried anything like that for fear it would hurt me.  He assured me it wouldn't but low and behold it is causing issues.
The first week wasn't to bad, it seemed to make me go more at 1 teaspoon a morning, it wasn't ideal but the discomfort after going seemed to lessen quite a bit, I was enthused that it was working.
Then however for whatever reason, my Dermatitus hepiformus started raging at me, hair got super oily despite just showering the day previous, really itchy, the scalp blisters, you know the drill if you have DH.
To be honest I was willing to cope if it was going to really improve the bowels but then when I went up (following his little metamucil guide sheet) to 2 teaspoons a day, 1 morning and 1 night I got wicked constipated and learned online you need to drink a TON of water, so I basically drained our well doing so, and no improvement.  I then went back down to 1 teaspoon a day and lots of water and there wasn't much improvement so after 2 days constipation I stopped taking it.
I've noticed now when I try it, it will mess up my sleeping pattern, like I wake up in the middle of the night and then it's insomnia and a broken sleep.  Has anyone ever had Insomnia or a broken sleep pattern from taking Metamucil?
I'm taking "Metamucil with real sugar" as it was the only one that had just Psyillum husk and sugar as the ingredients.

Oh it's absolutely infuriating sometimes, It's friggin hard dealing with all this at 23, all my friends are out living it up and I'm trapped by this friggin auto immune BS >:(
I think the hardest part is having no enemy to fight, normally when you are sick, you know what it is, how to deal with it and when you can expect results, so your will to fight is strong.
This however, they all say is for life, can only cope with it.  Doctors don't really help and after a few years it's just.. ugh so tired in general and tired of dealing with it, I miss smoothies and mac n cheese :"o
Hopefully someday someone will find SOMEthing that will fix auto immune disease in general lol .. one can hope >_>

      Probiotic Back Pain?
Ok so recently I started taking Udo's brand Probiotics designed to balance yeast in the gut and do all the good stuff probiotics are supposed to do.  I can't take the capsules because I am sensitive to gelatin, it constipates me, and despite the fact these say potato starch and not gelatin in the ingredients it still happened. So I started just putting it on some yogurt and then just taking it in water,  It seemed to be helping and improving my BM's but now I seem to be a lot more sensitive to anything.  I also have back pain in the lower middle area, so I googled it because it's quite pronounced and I don't usually have issues with back pain, first here is the product
and when I searched any issues with probiotics I found
annnnd unfortunately being a hypochondriac who has reasons to be concerned about something doing more damage then good..I was wondering if there were any informed individuals on here who could give me their opinion, to at the very least put my mind at ease.  Thanks in advanced
this seems plausible, should I stop the probiotics ? maybe they are just to strong.

I wouldn't fret about going gluten free, before holiday's it is a bit of a hassle just because there are so many holiday snacks with gluten.  Once you finally learn all the hidden sources of gluten and what you can and can't eat, it's actually pretty easy, they have replacements for anything with gluten in at least 3 different way's.  I learned of so many ways to make Gluten free bread with stuff I had never heard of my whole life.  Gluten free is easy, it's the intolerances most people develop after going gluten-free that aren't lol like lactose intolerance/corn w.e,  So best wishes to you and good luck with it all!

well, I use Kirkland Signature Ibuprofen and it seems alright, I didn't call to make sure it was gluten free, but I had no reactions and I'm pretty sensitive to gluten.
haven't had much luck with lipbalms though.

lol that's funny, mac and cheese was one of my all time favorite foods, I was eating so much of it shortly before thing's went really south, I didn't get the obvious stomach troubles until after I tried something for the depression, my parents refuse to give up gluten, but they do a pretty good job at keeping it in their own small well cleaned area's
Thanks for sharing, keep fighting the good fight :D
