  1. Coors Light

Funny I live in Golden, CO...home of Coors and literally live down the street from the main facility and have never heard of their Gluten free beer. Toured their facility too and they have never mentioned it.  Personally I'm scared of "gluten removed" beers...don't want to risk it. New Planet here in Colorado makes a great line of ales, dark, and light beers. I'm a fan, the Rasberry is my personal fav although they just released a dark ale that I'm excited to try.   On a side note about the oats...I can't do any oats even Redmill etc that aren't cross contaminated. The oat protein is very similar to wheat and I hear it's not uncommon.  "
  2. I was wondering if anyone has tried Glutenza? It's a product by this Doctor...Tom O'Bryan, I heard him on underground wellness podcast...he has a product that he claims helps within a 2 hour period to minimize symptoms if you are "glutened".   Anyone tried it and had success? I've tried other probiotics before and had not felt much of a difference but there are ingredients on this enzyme I've not seen before with other probiotics.   Thoughts?
  3. I started reading a lot on good quality single sourced beans and using a French press to keep the flavor etc and started buying higher end coffee...only to realize that my stomach does not handle it well! Seems only weaker coffee sits ok with me. Folgers Simply Smooth seems to be fine and other just lower end coffee brands.   Has anyone else had this experience? I LOVE the flavor of the really well made stuff (with supposedly less mold and toxins that can be irritable to the gut) However I seem to be the exact opposite, the stronger stuff is the irritant to my gut and the Folgers of the world coffee selection sit just fine...I'm wondering if other Celiacs have had a similar experience? Thanks!
  4. If you are interested in exploring the carb issue...I would really encourage you to look into the work of Chris Kessler, Mark Sisson and other advocates of the Paleo diet and lifestyle. I went paleo to manage my Celiacs and IBS. I've looked into doing SCD and GAPS and now FODMAPS...might want to look into that may not need to go full SCD as it could be a FODMAP issue. I geek out on nutrition stuff. Dave Osprey has the bulletproof executive podcast that interviews all the latest researchers on nutrition and fitness. Hope you find some useful information. I can provide you with plenty of books and websites to learn more about SCD and/or FODMAP. good luck.
  5. I'm going to start the antibiotics for SIBO this week for 10 days. From all the research I've read from Allison Siebecker and other sites, the FODMAP diet is a form of treatment as well and supplements.   For anyone who has undergone this form of treatment, did you start supplements while on antibiotics? Which ones specifically did you take? Did you start a FODMAP diet during that time or wait until after as well?   Thank you!
  6. Colorado

There are some really great gluten free and paleo restaurants that have popped up here in the last few years. lives in the Denver area and she constantly posts/reviews great new restaurants along with awesome recipes. If the spot is paleo, it is definitely gluten free. Sprouts and Alfalfa have good selections of products along with whole foods of course. I'm surprised to see that King Soopers is getting better.   Where have you guys found?   Any support groups in the Denver metro area that you know of? Thanks!
  7. Any Celiacs Near Denver, Colorado?

Hey Tonalynn, I live in Golden, CO and I was just looking today for local celiacs support groups. Did you ever find anything here in town?
  8. I was diagnosed Celiac back in 2009...I'm very sensitive. My roommate brought gluten in the house and I've been sick for two weeks. I went around yesterday wiping everything down with disinfectant so I hopefully will start to feel better now.   However, I've always believed in manifesting your own reality and The Secret and The Magic, Ask and it is Given...creating and continually manifesting my world purposefully. I believe in it wholeheartedly yet when it comes to Celiac and digestion and IBS...I have a what point did I ask to have celiac disease and at what point can I now reverse it through positive affirmations and creating my own reality.   I struggle with this because I've continually sent out positive thoughts around my digestion, my healing, my normal bowel movements even! Does anyone else also have this internal struggle? With everything else it works wonders, I practice gratitude every day around all aspects of my life and see the results every single day around all aspects but this one.   Thoughts?
  9. What about the items that are already in separate containers? Like the veggie chips etc that they will package and sell right next to the bulk area?
  10. Does anyone have trouble with peanuts and not other nuts?
  11. Has anyone had the courage to try any of the foods available to purchase in bulk at Whole Foods, sprouts or trader joes? Where you bag your own from the bins.  I'm really curious to know if I would react to that stuff but I'm hesitant to try as I am super sensitive but damn it would save me money when making my own trail mixes.    Has anyone had a good experience or just plan stay away?   Thanks!!!!
  12. I'm bringing this post back to light because I'm wondering what brands of nuts are safe?!?!? I am having all kinds of problems with eating nuts lately and I love them...they fuel my mtn bike rides etc when I make my own trail mixes and well I'm probably just addicted. I've tried the Target Archer Farms mixed allergy information that should indicate a wheat cc and still seem to have a problem. The bags of almonds from Costco, the roasted peanuts from Costco...both labels should be safe. I can't eat Kirkland brand mixed nuts already discovered that.   What about whole foods or sprouts bulk products...not just nuts but any of those including veggie chips. Anyone have experience with these?    Thanks!!!!
  13. Going The Primal Route....

Does anyone else feel like they eat ALOT compared to others? I think its maybe my activity level but I feel like my plates of veggies are huge!! I don't mind at all but people look at me funny sometimes!
  14. Going The Primal Route....

Thanks, I actually take B12 shots monthly, an omega 3 and a vitamin D pill regularly, doesn't seem to help. I eat that the type of sugar you're talking about? I eat at least one fat serving per meal such as avocado or olive oil. I'm an active mtn biker, climber and hiker and eat alot of nuts as well on the trail! He mentions: "If you can handle exercising without having to carb-load, you
  15. Going The Primal Route....

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced being irritable and low mood on the paleo diet. I went to a paleo mostly diet to try to clear up remaining symptoms and while my stomach feels moods are irritable. I hear alot that people had success with depression symptoms when going paleo but that hasn't been my case. My depression seems to have gotten worse and my medications aren't helping. It's more quick temper/anxiety than sadness. I'm also very active outdoors, I exercise sometimes twice a day. I do eat alot of fruit allowed on the diet and I don't follow it religiously because I don't need to lose weight. Does anyone else have this problem?
