Hello Clairmarie - We did recently update our Rudi's Gluten-Free sandwich bread to a new soft & yummy recipe. While there were a few small ingredient changes, inulin was an ingredient in our old recipe and is still included in our new recipe. We have received the occasional feedback that some consumers are extra sensitive to this ingredient. If you were able to eat our bread in the past, know that inulin was also in it, so this might not be what you are reacting to. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Maggie, Rudi's Glutne-Free Bakery
Hello, Maggie here from Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery. We do not make gluten-free sliders. The closest thing to sliders we make are Rudi's Gluten-Free Multigrain Hamburger Buns. Our gluten-free products clearly state Gluten-Free on the packaging and our gluten-free breads are sold in the freezer.
Rudi's Gluten-Free is an extension of Rudi's Organic Bakery which does bake products containing gluten, including potato slider rolls. It sounds like this might be the issue. Rudi's Organic products state 'contains wheat' under the ingredient list and are found in the bakery section.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks - Maggie, Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery email@example.com
Hi Sylvia and WifeWentGF - Just wanted to clarify on the comment above. Yes, along with our Gluten-Free breads we also have an Organic Bread (containing gluten) product line. Our Gluten-Free breads are very clearly marked 'Gluten-Free' in big letters across the front of the package, and they should be located in the freezer section.
You can feel assured our gluten free products never come into contact with something used to make a product containing gluten. As part of our manufacturing process and our gluten-free certification (GFCO), we also do the following:
(1)Our organic and gluten free equipment is color-coded for easy segregation. (2) Our gluten free breads are baked only after our facility has gone through an extensive, full day clean-up process. (3) All incoming ingredients are also tested and certified to be gluten free. (4) As part of our gluten free certification, every batch of our gluten free bread is tested and must test below <10 ppm of gluten for distribution. (5) We also send product to an outside lab to validate our test results and ensure we have less than 10 ppm of gluten.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks - Maggie, Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery
Maggie here from Rudi's Gluten-Fre Bakery. To answer ButterfI8's question -
We do not have a dedicated gluten-free facility, we do have a segregated, separate manufacturing approach. We bake our gluten free breads on separate, dedicated equipment and on separate production days. You can feel assured our gluten free products never come into contact with something used to make a product containing gluten. As part of our manufacturing process, we also do the following:
Our organic and gluten free equipment is color-coded for easy segregation Our gluten free breads are baked only after our facility has gone through an extensive, full day clean-up process All incoming ingredients are also tested and certified to be gluten free As part of our gluten free certification, every batch of our gluten free bread is tested and must test below <10 ppm of gluten for distribution We also send product to an outside lab to validate our test results and ensure we have less than 10 ppm of gluten
Hi all! We are RRRRudi's (no connection to Udi's)! We are based in Boulder, Colorado and our gluten-free breads are sold nationally. Our bakery was founded in 1976 and our roots are in organic baking. We went to work on baking gluten-free bread after we heard the call from so many in the celiac and gluten-intolerant communities. After testing over 100 recipes we launched our gluten-free bread line last summer.
Please note our gluten-free breads are clearly marked on the front of the package (blue bags) with GLUTEN-FREE and are found in the freezer section. Let me know if you have any other questions!
