  2. Why haven't they tried to find out what is making you anemic? isn't it connected to the red cells and bone marrow depletion... I'm going to see gastroenterology consultant tomorrow and my GP wants to investigate what has made me anemic, whether it's celiac or to do a biopsy, camera jobbie
  3. I had early menopause at age 45/46 due to early hystorectomy. But prior/perimenopause had very very sore/ tender nipples (not whole breat though) every now and then looking back this was my body telling me something but my GP never picked up on this. I was given anti biotics thinking I had some kind of infection
  4. my recovery was almost instant, within 3days 90% cured within two weeks, most symptoms had gone away completely.... look to eliminating other things like dairy products, eggs. quite often the body become intolerant with few other things to.. elmination diet is the only way. Which hidden gluten in sauces, gravies etc...
  5. Anemia (extreme tiredness and having to use a walking stick even), asthma, months and months of extreme flatuence escalating to vomiting. Extreme nausia, which I thought was migraine but obviously not... Gone gluten-free and all sypmtoms gone..... weight gain BUT no-- diahorea symptoms or constipation though. Do you have to have gut pain and diahorea to be celiac? Are these typical symptoms or could it be something else? Also, really bad hot flushes and sweating as if my body is sweating toxins out of my body somehow. Anyone had this? bad sweats?? I'm post menopausal but still have few hot flushes but these seem different, mainly facial sweating is bad...

    I hear what you are saying BUT I would end up vomiting every day, I simply wouldn't have a life except with head over a toilet. How you get round that one for 2/3months???
  7. Here in UK you can buy gluten enzyme digestive tabs. Was wondering has anyone tried. I would imagine rather good to have in stock for eating out and/or holidays or if you just suspect Gluten hidden....
  8. As well as extreme flatulence, bloated, migraine, joint pain....continuous nasuea.... No diahrea, no constipation type symptoms. do you always have to be one or the others? What about weight gain? is this symptom of celiac? thanks
  9. If I buy quinoa pasta, what kind of sauce would you make and most cans, jars(read made) can be out of bounds?? I am very sensitive to white chia seeds, I know they are a superfood, but immediately upset my tummy, make me bloated and gives flatulence..... What do you use brown rice with?

  11. what do you suggest? something like putting a knorr stock cube in there. I was told by celiac friend that OXO was a no no, but you can have Knorr stock cubes....
  12. I tried chia seeds, just a teaspoon and washed it down with juiced carrots and got pain in my stomach which lasted for ages. I know they are a superfood and love to use. How do you desensitise your body. Has anyone else had a reaction to white chia seeds??
  13. best advice, talk to pharmacy staff. Also going gluten free you may well find that arthritic symptoms, joint pain my disappear altogether or be drastically reduced. I had very bad nausea/vomiting which I thought was 'migraine' which I also have but after going gluten-free free all these stopped, much to my surprise...... Also stomach bloating downs down lots and lots to. I had major anemia which seems very common symptom of celiacs. I tested negative, but they want to do further tests as you can get a false negative, so a biopsy is needed. So for the moment 'gluten intolerant' my body has thanked me over and over and is slowly recovering... Don't hesitate, go gluten free. You will know when you eat something that reacts. be strict for first couple weeks and then slowly try introducing foods, so you know what specifically reacts. I had some gluten free maderia cake --- BUT it had egg in it and gave me migraine. So that's a no no, or find/use an egg substitute

  15. What do memebers think? does it take nice? do you bake, cook, eat raw? is it bland, tasty or worth bothering with. I know it's bet expensive in UK and am checking Ebay, but you have to pay p&p Is it a *must have* item or just occasionally? thanks
