  1. I have tried everything, and it never ends well. Gloves, mask, taking a shower the second I'm done. It all resulted in me getting glutenized. I didn't try a repirator, but a cone mask didn't help at all. If you have to work with it, then cover as much of you as you can.
  2. From what I have been told, they really don't help. Not with the damage. I was at my Doctor yesterday because I'm in severe reaction from chicken nuggets that were supposed to be gluten free. A company mixed up their gluten-free chicken nuggets with regular ones. They've been recalled, but I ate them Sunday. At this point I just have to be treated as symptoms hit. If you do hear of something I would love to know, I've got at least 3 more days of labored breathing ahead.
  3. I got gluten on Saturday, quite by accident. My reaction is so severe I end up in the hospital every time. However, the hospital yesterday could not help me at all. Even told me celiac can only affect digestion. I have no filter organs left, so it seems to really bother my heart and lungs now. I guess I was hoping there was some magic enzyme that would stop all the side effects. I do a papaya enzyme with meals. Any suggestions?
  4. I have seen digestive enzymes mentioned as a possible treatment for gluten side effects. I went to the er last night and the doctor there had never heard of them. What are they? Do they help? Do you have to take them with probiotics? Are they safe for advance celiac?
  5. I went to the er yesterday because I could not breath. I got glutenized on Saturday. The PA at the er said there is no way gluten could affect my breathing, and that celiac only attacks digestion. I told her to google it, she could find lots of info that way. I'm guessing from her reaction that doctors don't really care for google. Needless to say I went home with no help.
