  1. Hi everyone. Yes I have checked into the casein. I can tolerate dairy with no problems. Since I have the corn out of me I have been feeling pretty good now but I still suffer with a lot of fatigue. I tried a couple of times over the last week trying something with corn and then wonder why I did that. I definitely react to it and just need to keep it out of my system. I have been trying some spirulina this week to see if that will help improve my fatigue. I don't notice anything so far but I'm hoping to see a change in that area. Plus I'm working on trying to keep my weight up so all seems to be going well for the most part. I pray I'm on the right path!!! Tami
  2. THanks for the response Wendy... boy if I ate some of that food you do (and I wish I could) I would be in a world of hurt... lol!!! I used to eat M&Ms and hershey bars all the time and now a bite makes me so nauseated and yucky feeling that is just isn't worth it! Today I tried a few m&ms and I'm still hurting from it. I am soooo tired I can hardly stand it and yet so nauseated. I eat a lot of sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and all that steamed. Mostly meat and veggies. I do splurge with the occasional vanilla breyers ice cream and my brownies so that I can keep my weight up. I am placing an order today for some more food. I will definitely keep an eye out for what I am eating... It seems to have been better lately but just so tired. It just seems to need to be simple and I am for the most part okay. I'll let you know how it goes... hopefully I'm on the right track even though I seem to be losing more and more food choices by the month!!!! Tami
  3. Hi Wendy... thank you for your response. I'm pretty sure I'm 100% gluten free. My children are also gluten free and I try to not let anything in that isn't. I eat pretty simply. Steamed veggies, meat, raw nuts. Really pretty boring. I haven't tried the yogurt but that does sound very good. I did order some products from allergygrocer which I am really enjoying. What do you eat since you are corn free also? Today I've been pretty good but this fatigue I fight every day is really hard. I get kind of scared to eat as I don't want to feel sick but yet I know I need to. A few months ago I ended up in the hospital with severe vomiting and stomach pain that is so awful due to a gluten attack. I've been trying to figure this all out for four years and it seems every time I think I am on the right road I get bumped off by something else. I just want to feel well and finding a doctor where I live who is supportive is pretty much impossible. I haven't had any other allergy testing done. I get sick after eating, not always and sometimes when I don't I find myself thinking boy this is strange that I'm not... pretty bad huh? lol I know I'll get there but it is such a struggle in the meantime!!! Tami
  4. I guess my hesitancy lies in that I have been to several doctors and they have never found anything. I am so tired of doctoring and I think if it is just food allergies then I need to work through that. Since taking gluten and corn out, I have done so much better. I still suffer with fatigue and occasional episodes going on. I need to monitor and if things would continue though I am corn free and gluten free, then I would have to take that step. But right now I just don't feel ready for that. I want to try to be as careful with my diet with eating very simply and seeing what happens from there. I guess I just don't know what the right step is to be honest with you....
  5. Oh it does feel good to know I am not alone. I did check out that website and it has a lot of interesting information on it. I react so severely and I just get leary of eating. I know I need to and I do try to keep it very simple. I eat a lot of plain meat and veggies, rice. I am a very active person and the weight just keeps slipping down but yet exercising keeps me sane and is my outlet. I have let up on it some but it doesn't seem to have helped too much. ALso I am soooooo tired... every day I just feel exhausted. My doctors around here think I am crazy I think and want me to go to the Mayo Clinic. I hate to go that route. I just keep thinking I take away the food that is bothering me and I'll be fine. Corn is a hard one to get rid of but I think I have been doing pretty good in that way. Maybe I need to go even blander. I did try doing some juicing of vegetables to get some extra calories in and I was hoping to energize me but I was getting so nauseated from it. I don't know why that would be. It is just sooo frustrating. Do you find yourself enough food without the corn also or just feeling deprived? It just seems when I feel I am on the right track I get thrown off again.... Usually I am so positive about all this but I am so tired of feeling like crap!!!! Plus people just don't understand! Sorry for the rambling... I'm just feeling lost these days!! Tami
  6. Hi everyone. I have been gluten free for almost two years now and have slowly since that time just been getting worse and worse with nausea, stomach cramping, fatigue, vomiting, etc. I have now realized that I have a severe corn allergy and have been off corn now for the last four to six weeks. I am really struggling. My weight has dropped quite a bit and I'm just having a hard time emotionally. I have been fighting with my health for four years now after the birth of my daughter. Since then there just hasn't been one good day without any pain, nausea or something and I feel some days it is tearing me apart. I'm not trying to lose weight but with such a limited diet it is hard and I am fearful that I am to the point that I don't want to eat because I just don't want to get sick. It is a constant struggle that I fight with every day. My kids know mom is sick again. I usually try to wait to eat a bigger meal late in the evening when things are about done around the house so in case I am sick that my whole day isn't shot. It just feels like it is one thing on top of another and I just want to feel well. I'm so tired of dealing with the sickness. I think my body is just so sensitive at this point and I have to be so careful but yet when I think I am... I don't know. Anyone else out there have a corn allergy along with the gluten? I could use some advice please!!!! Thank you!!! Tami

  8. Hi everyone. I have heard lately that there are questions with wishbone dressings and I'm wondering if anyone here knows if the ranch is okay or not. My kids absolutely love it and I would just hate it if it were another thing not safe. Thank you! Tami
  9. I'm in the same boat... both my kids diagnosed this week by Enterolab and my extended family just doesn't believe they have any problem with it. I explain it but I think they all think I am just crazy.... I noticed memoryofaspyn that you mentioned you are going to a conference on Oct 1 and 2. I am also. I was wondering if it is the one in North Dakota? I am hoping to bring back my information for my extended family to believe I am making the right choices!!!! Tami
  10. Hi. Yes before I went gluten free I went on a candida diet. I had good results with it. The die-off stinks but is well worth it. I went on a year cleansing program using antifungals. It is tough it really is but I needed to clean my body out which I did. I have been bad again and into the sugar but need to change all of that. THere is a wonderful website that has a message board and tons of help that you can go by and sells products. I've used their products and can say that they definitely work. If you have any quesitons dont hesitate to contact me. I'm not sure if we can post links on here or not otherwise I would give you the website. But if you are interested you can email me and I will gladly help you out in any way I can. bikerblue@yahoo.com Tami
  11. Hi Mariann, Yes I do some dairy but not a lot. I did have dairy cut out completely for a while but it didn't seem to make a difference for that. It could very well be an intolerance of some sort... I really dont know. It just seems strange though that pressure of any type sets the pain off though doesn't it??? That is what I really can't understand. Tami
  12. Thank you Mariann. I guess I should have mentioned that I have had a colonoscopy along with a CT scan and ultrasound of that area and nothing has come up. Which is fortunate but yet is troubling. It is rather frustrating because I know I am eating gluten free but yet I get these flareups like I am having now that are just miserable and sometimes quite intense and I need to take a pain pill to help me. When I do eat gluten that area becomes flared up also. I guess I'm not sure if I just chalk it up to gluten or if I should pursue it further. Just confused... Tami
  13. Hi. I had the enterolab testing done last July. I have been doing wonderful on the diet and have improved with my pain and nausea but still have one problem. I cannot lay on my left side or put pressure on my left side of the stomach as I get instant flareup of pain. The pain is right underneath my left rib cage and radiates right around to the back and at times is very intense and have to sleep with a heating pad to get comfortable and of course not put any type of pressure on that side whatsoever. It hasn't improved any. I wonder if I have that much damage to my intestines or what and it is very scary to me. Can anyone offer some advice?? Gluten Sensitivity Stool Test Fecal Antigliadin IgA 25 Units (Normal Range <10 Units*) Stool Test for Autoimmune Reaction to Tissue Transglutaminase Fecal Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 28 Units (Normal Range <10 Units) Stool Test for Small Intestinal Malabsorption Microscopic Fecal Fat Score: 651 Units (Normal Range < 300 Units) Thanks!!!
  14. Hi. I'm a road cyclist and I've noticed sometimes that I will develop a rash all over my body or sometimes just my arms, or stomach. It is a red rash but doesn't last long. Usually not more than half an hour. It has only happened after I exercise but doesn't happen all that often. I've always wondered what would be causing it. Does this sound anything like yours at all? Tami
