Shaun- Yes, PF Changs is my favorite. It's a little pricey, but they have a menu with a great variety of dishes, and the gluten-free entrees are even served on completely different dishes. I have never had a bad experience there (i.e. cross contamination). The nearest one to my house is like an hour away though, so it's just for special occasions. I eat at a lot of mexican restaurants. I just have them prepare my meal with a corn tortilla in the usual flour one's place. Honestly I do not eat out very often, so I don't have many suggestions...

      Hi Shaun,
My name is Kaitlyn and I'm 17. I started eating gluten-free when I was 14. I was not officially diagnosed with celiac, but my cousin has it and her gastrointerologist said I most likely have it as well. Either way, eating gluten-free has changed my life for the better.

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn and I'm 17 years old. I live in Ohio and have been gluten free for 2 years. I only know one other person with celiac and she is my cousin. I would love to know someone who knows what I live through with celiac. Plus, I've always wanted a pen pal

Hello, I'm a 17 year old girl with Celiac, and I know just what you mean. I have a cousin with Celiac and Type 1 Diabetes, and she also is often told she has a great attitude about life. Myself, having only Celiac cannot fully relate on a personal level, but I see what she really goes through. She is asymptomatic as well, so she often cheats and eats gluten.

I get very sick when I eat gluten, so I can't ignore having Celiac. I feel awkward with my friends, and even my family, when they have to change plans just so I can eat. They are all very accomodating and kind when it comes to finding food I can eat, but its just a hassle. I went to a party last night, and all the food they had was planned around me. It's very nice that they will do that for me, but I feel bad knowing they went so far out of their way just to feed me.

I live in a pretty rural area, and I feel like my cousin and I are the only ones with Celiac for miles and miles and miles. I want to find a support group, so I can find people that are going through the same things as I.

Don't lose motivation to stop eating gluten-free. As much of a pain it is to find things to eat, being healthy is certainly worth it!

I am from rural Northeastern Ohio. There seems to be NO celiacs in my area! I only know one, and she happens to be my younger cousin... I used to shop at the Raisin Rack, but the drive is just a bit too long. Too bad, because their selection is wonderful. Now I shop at Seven Grains in Tallmadge, and I love it. Does anyone happen to know if there is a group for teens with Celiac in our area?

I live in a rural area, so the only other person I know with Celiac happens to be my cousin! Its nice to know there are other people out there dealing with my same issues! I don't feel as alone about it now!

What Is The Severity Of Your Reaction To Gluten?
Hello, I'm new to this site

I am 17 years old, and have been gluten-free for a little over 2 years (wow, I didn't realize it has been this long). I have a younger cousin, 3 years my junior, who has Celiac and Juvenile Insulin-Dependent Diabetes. She has been gluten-free for about 5 years now. When she eats gluten, she doesn't get sick at all (in fact, she cheats all the time. *jealousy* :/ ). However, when I slip up, I am ridden with crippling pain, and do not feel better for atleast 6 hours. My reaction has always seemed very severe, and I was wondering, how bad are your reactions?
