  1. Good to know! I like their waffle fries.
  2. I have it on my kindle - need to finish reading it! Thanks for the reminder. But I do agree gluten is not good for anyone!!
  3. What a sweet thread. It sound to me like it takes educating our family members just as much as ourselves. The more others RESPECT the gluten-free lifestyle, the easier it will be for everyone.
  4. I get puffy eyes, not so much face. It's really weird too because sometimes it's so severe that it feel like my eyelid gets "stuck" to my eye brow area. LOL But yes, I get puffy eyes, and some tingling in my face.
  5. I hope it's not extra virgin, otherwise it goes rancid. EVOO can't take heat. Come to think of it, yes, they do fry other things in the oil. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a bit of chicken or something in my fries!
  6. I almost hate to ask, but do you experts know if French Fries from say MCDonald's or Sonic are gluten free?
  7. I totally agree with this one!! I see so many kids (I'm a teacher) with very conscious parents who even recognize sensitivities. I had my son tested (IGe) and he came back negative, but I avoid giving him dairy and gluten when possible.
  8. Just wondering do you get tingling in your tongue and face? Also, do your eyelids get puffy? I get those symptoms too
  9. Having been tested I am not celiac, but I have a severe intolerance to wheat and a moderate reaction to gluten/glaiden So I am having so much trouble finding ANYONE who can relate. When I have wheat/gluten I get the oddest symptoms 24-36 hours later. Please tell me someone can relate!!!! Please! dizzy!!!! left leg just gets numbish - I present as normal but it's so aggravating back ache/stiff joints fatigue/no get up and go Side vent: I went to this other natural dr. who thought it was all bogus and gave me these supplment with other sensitivites I tested positive, INCLUDING a B complex with wheat germ. Needless to say, I don't take those anymore, but it just bugs me how people just stare at me like I'm making these symptom up. Some restaraunts are so cold hearted. I was left with nothing to eat but iceberg lettuce, broccoli & onions the other day. I was nearly in tears because I didn't bring any food w/me.
  10. My naturopathic Dr. had told me to get off gluten earlier this year. I did so - on and off. :-) You know how that goes right? Well, one reason was because of adrenal fatigue. Another was because of persistent dizziness and numbness in my left leg. It used to be a lot worse - in my left hand all the time and even loss of some muscle control. It is better, but the symptoms come on so randomly. I took an (Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned) blood test and guess what? It came back SEVERE intolerance to wheat and a MODERATE REACTION to gluten/glaidin. I've sen the results to my regular MD to see if they will allow me to take a celiac test. I'm so upset today. Honestly. The drastic food changes I'm sure are a part of it, but more importantly just not knowing where this odd ball neuropathy comes from. The regular Dr.'s have done brain scans, thyroid testing, blood sugar, and other overall workups. Has anyone been through this? And, does this sound like Celiac?
