  1. Our Grandson was just diagnosed with autism along with all kinds of food allergies. He has not been diagnosed with celiac but cannot have any gluten or dairy according to the blood tests. We don't understand about the cassien and if all dairy has it? Does anyone know of a cheese that he could eat that would taste good. Before his parents found out about his allergies he ate cheese all the time and know misses it so much. The poor kid hardly eats anything and tomorrow he is going to a special school for autism and goes all day. Any suggestions about what his Mom could pack for all day? Thanks
  2. I sure hope you get a great grade and it makes people more aware of thisdisease. 1.female 2. white, irish, scandinavian, scotish 3. I struggled with being a sickly child. Always very skinny and anemic. But it really came to rear it's ugly head when I had my second child. at age 25. Not diagnosed until I hit 48. 4. 5'8" 125 dropping down to 5'7" and 105 lbs. 5. Dr. diagnosed but not until I really investigated why I was always anemic and then developed osteoporosis too. 6. endoscopy biopsy and blood work. 7. just gluten, thank you Lord... 8.osteoporoses, joint pain, occasional acne break outs. 9. over 25 years 10. Mom has colitis and IBS is now 89 and might have Celiac but not up to the test. Dad died of complications with hernia but always had stomach trouble and I think might of had the Celiac. Sister has all symptoms but dosen't want to know. She has osteoporosis and my nephew is also Downs.
  3. Our Grandson who is 2 1/2 has been showing signs of a mild form of Autism. When he was 1 yr old and up until about 8 months ago he was progressing great. He would talk many words and had a good attention span. Now he dosen't talk and is very hyper. I seem to think there is the connection with the foods that he is eating that has made him like this. He is getting help with the birth to three program but they don't ever talk about food being the problem. I know there is a book out there that talks about the connection. Does anyone know of one? I have celiac disease and my family gets so tired of hearing about food and what it can do to you. Thanks, Grandma who cares...
  4. Please tell me what MSG is made from and why as a Celiac we should not have anything with MSG in it?
