  2. Seeking Hope To Ward Off Depression

I am taking Dapsone took a few days to help. I needed somethng for immediate relief as well and benedry and zrytec ...all that kind of stuff did nothing! I would wake up in the morning with blood under my fingernails from scratching so much. My Dermatologist gave me a topical creme called "Elocon" It is a GOD SEND!!! Any Dermatologist should have a free sample your friend could try! It brings relief within kust a few minutes! I break out if I am stressed or accidentally ingest gluten, usually within hours. Usually my first sign of accidental ingestion! Have your friend try it!!!! I am sure it will help!!! Good luck! I know how it me!!! 3. Skin Issues

I am new to this board too...just posted for the first time a few weeks ago. Thanks for all the info and help. I have been celiac for about 5 years and also thought we (8 yr old daughter and myself) we doing pretty good. I have had a rash on my leg for 2+ years now and have gone to the Dr. about 4 times because it bothered me so much. Well, I finally just this week got it diagnosed as DH. It was my suspicion all along but could not get any Dr. to agree. Finally I got to see a specialist and had the biopsy done on Tuesday. He has put me on Dapsone...just wondering if anyone is or has taken it and what I need to watch for as far as side effects! I am taking 100mg once a day. I am very anxious about taking it. Had the pills since Tues and just took the first one last night! We have been gluten free for so long I really hoped I would not have to worry about DH too. Sniff sniff. Kinda overwhelming sometimes!!! Anyway....let me know if anyone has had problems with dapsone! Thanks, Lynette
  4. Fast Food

Are you guys serious??? A gluten free brownie? I am going there tonight if that is the case!!! Maybe my celiac daughter and I (also celiac) will go on a girl date tonight!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am! I am brand spanking new to this board...but 8 yr old daughter and me are gluten free for about 5-6 yrs now! It is hard still but having somewhere to go and get goodies will be a nice change! We always to to Mcdonalds cuz they have a designated fryer for their fries. Also...we do pretty good with most Mexican resteraunts. We get nachos which we both love!!! I just double check ingredients and almost always can't have the sour cream and guacamole (usually has sour cream in it). Every now and then you find a place that makes their own from fresh avacados and YUMMY!!! Thanks so much for the Outback tip!!! Can't wait...(did I mention that I was excited to go try it!!!!!!!!!!) Lynette
