Hi!! As soon as I figure out how to post it on my profile, it'll be there. I'll let you know when that finally happens, and if you're still interested, I'd love it if you'd be so kind as to give it a whirl.
Ps- I love NC. Spent a lot of summers in Brevard as a child
Thank you so much for helping me find a way around this. Since I'm still super new (and all my posts have to be viewed and approved by a moderator), I will do it first thing tomorrow if you can tell me how. I looked around on the profile page, but I'm unsure how best to proceed. You. Are. Awesome.
Well, it's not that I forgot, it's that I posted it with a link... Which as I found out today, is against the rules. So the link was deleted, and I am afraid to post the recipe for fear that Google will flag me for duplicate content, even though I don't think one can plagiarize their own work. Sighhhhhh.
I wish there were a way for me to do that little emoticon with its head banging on the wall. It's TOTALLY appropriate here.
I have been baking a lot of gluten/grain free desserts lately- I do not have a food allergy, but I am trying to broaden my repertoire and help some people out in the process.
I made a cake with Bob's Red Mill AP flour 2 days ago and had to toss the whole thing. My daughter said it tasted like 'plant'. Honestly, it did. I have had wonderful success with mixing and matching other BRM products, but I doubt I'll be using that particular one again.
I'm not sure how this site works, but here's my story:
I am a nurse. I do not have celiac disease (or a food allergy). I have friends that do, and what I've experienced with my friends/patients is that it is a very difficult thing to deal with- the learning how to eat all over again to avoid some of the suffering that you guys have to deal with.
I'm trying to make the world a better place, one gluten free dessert at a time. Silly? Maybe. I'm a Southern girl, though, and we're always feeding everyone!
I created a recipe for gluten free lemon bars, and I was wondering if you all would take a look. Or better yet, make it and tell me what you think.
I'm also interested in what other desserts people like that may not be available without wheat based flours.
I have made it my mission to make gluten free stuff that actually tastes good.
I thank you so much in advance for your help, and I'm really excited to hear from you guys!!!
