  1. I'm not a huge drinker. Every now and then I go to Happy Hour with some co-workers at our local tavern. But now.. what can I drink? I'm a Vodka mixer or Rum type of girl. I figured that Tequila would still be drinkable as that is made from Agave plant. Anyone have any tips or ideas as to what I can drink for a Happy Hour outing? I already know about Chopin Vodka, but I don't think that's carried at a regular run of the mill type Tavern that we go to for Happy Hour. This is my first Happy Hour since Diagnosis
  2. i'm quite fond of 2 poached eggs on Homemade gluten-free Toast in the mornings, and those are plenty warm to heat up during the cold winter months I've recently been trying to have a little bit of the BRM gluten-free Quick Cook oats, but am having a little issue with them. I'm still trying to test it out to make sure. Not sure if it was the extra protein that is just wrecking my system or the oats. I've been making it with water and Homemade Strawberry Jam A Udi's muffin popped in the microwave for a few seconds also does the trick in a jiffy. Hopes this gives you some ideas.
  3. I'm with you-- I can't tolerate regular vitamin's and being Anemic I need the extra iron as well. I'm going to take your suggestions and see what I can find. I'll let you know that I find out, but thank you for sharing i've been meaning to pick up some vitamins. I used to take the centrum chewables, they were orange, not sure if the gluten factor as that was pre-diagnosis, but i'll have to take a second look at the back of the bottle. Thanks again.
  4. Wow how rude, I can't believe he didn't even attempt to address your concern. How infuriating.As far as suggestions. I'm recently diagnosed so I don't have alot to offer. Where I live, Wegman's Supermarket is a lifesaver. They have a nice Gluten/special dietary needs section. There is also Feel-Rite Markets and local co-op markets that specialize in organic/local foods, which is fantastic because they have a good assortment of Gluten free Foods I feel like if a store has taken the time to seperate an aisle for gluten free foods, or even any other sort of limited diet, they should at least insure that the foods in the section belong there Hopefully you checked in advance and didn't get gluttened, I will check out my walmart now for a gluten-free section to see what we have.
  5. Oatmeal?

    I saw this and went out to Wegman's and Purchased Bob's Red Mill gluten-free oatmeal. I ate it.. I had a slight reaction.. And I didn't think I was hyper sensitive. I'm sad because I love oatmeal too.
