  1. Paris!

Thank you all for being so helpful. I had a great time during my trip. The places that I tried were the following: - Helmut NewCake - Delicious pastries and brunch. BEST gluten free eclairs. You will find classic french pastries here. - Noglu - A must try for both lunch and dinner. - Thank you my deer - Delicious sandwiches and muffins. - Pierre Sang - Not a gluten free restaurant but they understood my issue and were very helpful (I brought a celiac card and they spoke English) - Eric Kayser - They are not gluten free but have gluten free bread. At the time I went it was made in a separate area and double packaged to protect against cross contamination. - Biosphere Cafe - Buckwheat crepes and gluten free pastries. Additionally I stayed at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal and they had gluten free croissants for breakfast. They buy them frozen and after I asked them to heat them up separately and avoid cross contamination I had no issues.
  2. Paris!

The husband and I are taking a trip to Paris soon. Are there any recommendations for us to try? Helmut Newcake and Noglu are on our list. Anything else? Also does anyone know the business hours for Helmut Newcake?
  3. I have experienced muscle twitches and dizziness or what felt more like an out of body experience. Magnesium supplements and time helped me with those. You are still early on in the process. Best of luck with the diet.
  4. I just confirmed all Gaviscon products are gluten free as of today. I do however, have an upset stomach from it so i guess this is a no go for me. Might be the sorbitol
  5. Thank you Laura. I tried the extra strength ones and the bottle says "may contain starch" but not specific. I will contact them today but i am having stomach cramps. Might be the sugar alcohols in it.
  6. Are they gluten free? I thought they were but accidentally I had reached the website and the U.S. website does not have the gluten free info available. I had them before bed today and am freaking out!!!
  7. Anjani, for me it turned out to be the trigger for mast cell issues. You can read up more on that on this forum. Search mast cell activation syndrome.
  8. It can definitely be a cause. I am sorry this happened to you. Please google "floxing" and you will read many stories of people injured by this drug. I have read supplementing with magnesium, especially Epsom salt baths and magnesium sprays, help people with tendon issues. I would strongly recommend reading up more on what to do to heal the damage caused to the tendons. Edited to add: yes, there are people with issues lingering year after taking this drug. Sometimes issues surface months after and doctors fail to connect the dots. Connective tissue is damaged to a point that normal usage creates pain similar to an over usage injury. Speaking from experience here as I have been suffering from over six months!
  9. In addition to autoimmune issues, another thing that can cause this is "floxing". Have you taken any antibiotics in the cipro / Levaquin family before the issues started?
  10. Ilili Nyc

Has anyone dined here safely? I used to love their food before diagnosis but not sure how careful they really are.
  11. Curry Powder

Thank you! Used the McCormick one and was fine.
  12. Which ones do you guys use that is safe? I am looking at the McCormick one which seems fine but wanted to double check whether anyone had an issue with it.
  13. Has your husband been tested for SIBO?
  14. Brgr?

I haven't eaten there but I live in NYC so if you try let me know
