  1. I have done a ton of research in the 3-4 weeks since diagnosis. I have a clear understanding of the seriousness of ingesting gluten and how the smallest amount can cause major problems for my body. What I don't really get though is the issues with topical products like lotions etc. Can someone give me a clear explanation about this? Also, for topical products, should I be aware of certain ingredient names that I may not recognize as a gluten containing product? Thank you, this all seems so daunting!
  2. I live about 3 hours north of Chicago and intend to go grocery shopping in the near future. I live in a small community by comparison and I figured with Chicago so large that my options for shopping gluten-free products would be a lot better there. What stores in Chicago are well known for having good buys for gluten-free products? I plan on making a trip to Chicago every couple of months to stock up. We are also interested in going to an entirely gluten-free restaurant/cafe/bakery etc while visiting, any "must haves" that people would recommend? I was recently diagnosed with Celiac, so any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
