Rice pasta with chicken sausage and broccoli with cheese. Salad with italian dressing and a banana. The pasta was not good. I'm still learning and shouldn't NOT have mixed the pasta with the sauce and stored together. Pasta was a mushy mess for lunch!

      Thanks, Cyclinglady,
We do have a Trader Joe's close, I'll try that. I have rice noodles when I go to noodles or at restaurants and I love them. But at home were gluey. Guess I need to relax and get used to this. This sight and all the support is such a blessing.

New To This - And Frustrated!
UGH! I'm new to gluten-free, as I was only diagnosed with celiac last week. But so far the food is frustrating me. I've found that (yeah) there are a lot of gluten-free products on the marketing and the (boo) they are all so different. What is everyone favorite pasta? I have tired corn and while the color is different, I didn't mind the taste and texture. I love rice noodles, but found them a little gummy when I had them last night. PLUS there is the thickening agent. I made something last night that would normally use a roux - I didn't have a gluten-free flour (since that's expensive and I want to make sure I buy one that I will like) so I had to go a different direction and used evaporated milk. Different taste. Not a good different taste. Any advice for the newbie?

Thanks everyone. I still have daily stomach issues and I am just frustrated. I guess my stomach is better in that before diagnosis I was constantly gassy and bloated and that's better. But I'm still going several times a day.
I expected the fatigue to last. My doc said that would be one of the last symptoms to go away. I guess I need to just relax and let my body heal. I am thankful for the support of this group, however!

Anyone have suggestions for a multivitamin? I would love the gummie ones (makes me feel like a kid!) but just want something that won't make me sick!

      Will I Ever Feel Better?
Hi everyone - I was diagnosed with celiac on Thursday of this week. I had the endoscopy on Wednesday and my doc said it was positve just by seeing my gut. The biopsy came through the next day confirming it.
While I understand the diagnosis and will gladly embrace the gluten-free lifestyle (and don't expect overnight cures), I doubt I will every feel normal again. I was misdiagnosed 20 years ago and while my stomach was ok for a while, for the last couple of years, I am sick almost every day and in the bathroom it feels like constantly. I am chronically tired and can't seem to get enough sleep. Has anyone felt this way that can tell me it will get better? My doctor promises he will make this better but I can't imagine a day without worring about running to the bathroom!
Thanks in advance. I'm glad this forum is here. It was wonderful to find!
